SPOILER THREAD - Bravely Default: Where the Fairy Spoils thread (For discussion of spoilers here)

Bug Warning(?) found by Labadal backed byThePeoplesBureau
A BUG WARNING

This is if you want to add friends for Bravely Default. I wondered why no friends would register in the game. Turns out I had to delete my entire friends list because I kept getting error messages when trying to add friends to the game. After deleting everyone I added in this thread, I am slowly re-registering friends and it works.

I THINK that this bug is possible if someone on your friends list plays the game before you. I only have 35 more people to re-register (lol).
OMG THANK YOU

I thought this was just happening to me, I kept getting 'an error has occurred' whenever trying to add friends, it just would not have it at all. I had to wipe my entire friends list (all 100! *still cries*) and re-add them tentatively in blocks in order to check I wasn't re-adding the offending friend, if that was indeed the problem. It did fix things, and I'm merrily abilinked up in my party now. Still, weird bug. I doubt it's widespread though, I couldn't find anything about it elsewhere...

Would anyone know the best way to bring this to Nintendo/SE's attention? It's little more than a courtesy as I don't think they'll go so far as to patch it, but it would be good to let them know at least.

Friend Codes

How to get yourself added

Please submit the following information to me via PM, in the format below:

Friend Code (separated using hypens, ie 1234-5678-9012)
GAF Username
Country (optional, but could be handy for finding fellow players in and around your time zone)

I will compile codes into this post on a daily basis when I get a chance to, but I won't be able to respond directly to confirm you have been added - for that, you can check this post. You should be added within 24 hours of sending your PM, but it could take a little longer depending on occasions where I might be away from GAF for a day or two, for whatever reason. Leave at least 48 hours before chasing if you haven't seen your code added. I will not be checking posts in the thread for codes - PMs only, please.

I'm so excited that people will get to play this in English soon. Can't wait to see what people have to say.
I'm gonna grab the Japanese For the Sequel version and replay right along with you guys.

Nice OT. I really enjoyed the demo and I've always liked the Job system. I'll buy the game once it releases here in Europe.

Finally! I hope to get some nice FF9 vibes like many already said

Perfo will cut you for that title

Maybe this is the JRPG I need....

I don't want to be social, I don't really have to summon friends or anything do I? It's just a standard single-player?

That title is giving me conflicting feels

I kinda agree with it

Enjoy the game you yuros.

See you in February

Yeah I'm buying this and getting 3D Land free(EU promo if you register a 3DS+a specific game). Won't be able to play till Christmas though, I got exams and stuff. :(

I am going to ignore the 2nd default stuff, really don't feel like putting my 3ds in sleep mode all the time.

I spent so many hours on the demo; I don't think I spent so long playing a demo since Etrian Odyssey IV (though that was kinda inflated because I only had three uses so had to make the most of my time before release + the incentive of transferring save to the full game). I'm so ready for this game. December 6th get here.

Great OT btw.
Title is probably true too, lol

This game looks so good and it sounds fantastic. Love the dig in the title. So glad Nintendo decided to localize it and bring it over. Is there a demo of it available on the US eShop yet?

Jelly Europe is getting it a couple of month early. If I'm only getting one portable game next year, it's this game. I'm sure it'll tide me over for several months. One game in February and this one sticks out like a Roman candle.

EDIT: And Euroland gets the better box art as always. :(

Great OT. I wasn't sure whether to buy or not the game but fortunately the demo sealed the deal. I can't wait for it now! Also, multiple endings? Cool!

Great OT !

So, For the Sequel content (is it some kind of "international version") is included in Bravery Default EU ?

edit : nevermind. should have read the OP

That's why I want to play it so bad - it looks incredibly reminiscent of best-era Final Fantasy, which would be the PS1 days.

aww fuck multiple endings?

If the requirements are bullshit, there'll be hell to pay. If you're going to clarify this, spoiler tag pls.

Any Euro gaffers want to share friend codes for the village? Or is that not how you get more villagers in the full game?

The OP seems to be missing something...

This new system, dubbed "Bravely Second," allows for the aforementioned time-stopping antics, but relies on your current level of "SP." Once you've used your special power, your SP decreases. You can gain more SP by putting your 3DS into sleep mode, though as Siliconera points out, this is a slow process, with one SP point being added for every eight hours of idle time. If you'd rather not wait however, there's always the option to purchase potions from the Nintendo 3DS eShop that refill your SP.

Fantastic OT, really nice explanation of everything and the mechanics.

And Nintendo should indeed make a site for it. There was a mention in the game somwhere that I could unlock bonus costumes on the website, but I don't even know if I should look at Nintendo or Square Enix for that :p

Danny Dudekisser

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Nice OP. I'm super excited for this game, but I won't be reading through this thread, because I live in the US and I don't get to play this game till forever from now :(

But I'm sure this is the best game Square's put out in a decade. It just looks soooooo good.

I really want this.

But what's with the microtransactions mess I've been hearing? Do they ruin the game? Or is it just something trivial?
