Guys, if you can hold off a day or two I'm in the process of tagging all the 1UP Yours MP3s properly, adding album art and comments/descriptions in the tags. Also the files will be renamed to something like:

1UP Yours 2005-08-20.mp3

The reason for this is because the filenames will sort properly in this format.

If you have suggestions for a better filename format let me know. I'd be open to discussing it.

Also, the files will be separated into folders by years.

Once I'm done with this reorganizing and tagging I'll seed a torrent for it.

Here's an example of what the tagging will look like. I might change a few things, again suggestions are welcome. This will be a project of love :)

That would be great if you could, Schrade. I think that's the perfect formatting as well since it will sort it by ascendancy and will keep it seperated by show if people have it in one large file. One suggestion, if you're not already sorting shows by folder, could you please make a seperate folder for each show just for ease of use. It looks like you're doing spectacular work. Prepare to get major propage!

I downloaded that GFW Radio torrent and I have a quick question: is there a particular reason there are some EGM Live and 1up FM episodes in there as well? Are those episodes the GFW crew were on? I'm going to download the 1up FM episodes as well, I just don't want a bunch of duplicate files.

I'm still hoping that someone will compile all the great stories told into one file or series of files, even if it's irriguardless of what podcast they were featured on. There was a pretty good 2 part compilation of GFW radio awhile back.

Whomever created the torrent posted that they had accidentally included those EGM and 1up FM episodes.

As of late the GFW torrent has been speeding along quickly, there are a bunch of seeders now.

And props for the DTA method, hadn't thought of trying it.

anyone know how to use download them all on firefox? I heard this is the easiest way to download a bunch of files (like a directory full of podcasts) but I'm kinda not finding it easy going.

After a quick glance at the 1UP Show DownThemAll friendly link, it looks like only the first page of 1UP Show in addition to Review Crew is present there and remaining six seasons are stored in other directories. Just FYI in case you want to hoard them all.

EDIT: Upon further inspection, it seems the ZD Media hosted files are already gone. I only tried to download the last two episodes of season six, so I hope I'm wrong, but it looks like we'll have to look elsewhere for the rest.

EDIT2: Download links from GV pages work ("Watch Now" button from minisite) but the download links from the news posts ("Read More>>") do not. These files are quite a bit bigger--400-700mb so it may be time to clear out the porno drives.

I hate to echo everyone else, but - this just doesn't feel like Friday. :-(

I would dl 1up Yours, save it till Sat. morning, hit the coffee shop and start my day off right. Now...

I'm hoping that John can help the Yours crew make some capital connections and get the ball rolling on something major, soon. They've got the CV's to do something unique and major.

So I downloaded all the 1UP Show (and specials and other stuff) off of Game Videos. I only downloaded all the .mov files since they are better quality than .wmv. (h.264 for the win...) Now, if anyone is wondering... after separating all the specials and review crew and Not the 1UP Show stuff the remainder is about 37.6 GB. Wow.

Anyone have a clue how to get the earlier stuff other than ripping the .flvs off the site? (I might have to do that but I want better quality :-/)

Really? I've downloaded all the .mov files as well and I'm only at the beginning of Season 6 with 36GB. I haven't even started with the Not the 1up Show yet either.

just finished updating the id3 tags on all my retronauts episodes. really impressive to see that entire body of fantastic podcasting work collected in one little library.

now i just need to move them off my work computer, onto my desktop, and i'll have them stockpiled for my daily cardio. nothing more entertaining than listening to people talk about chrono cross while you're hoofing it.

I am downloading the one linked in the 1up forums thread. It seems to have at least some seeds. Sadly the one posted earlier in this thread seems to be dead.

just listened to a great 1up yours from march of last year (4/2008). geoff keighley and n'gai croal were guests, and they discussed fallout 3 at length, as well as numerous other questions about dormant genres, genres they thought would next go out of style, etc.

what a great podcast this was.

Got these added to the OP with links to individual shows courtesy the 1UP boards. Anyone know of a Legendary Thread or Bonus Stage torrent that can be verified as good? I don't want to go searching for random torrents as you never know what they are and I don't want to link a bad torrent.

Will listen thanks for the recommendation! Listen to 5-01-07 GFW Radio, it's really, really funny and the program at it's best. They shit on Dune and LOTR (the books) for a good portion of the show which is hilarious to listen to.
