That's some deep backstory alright. I guess this partially explains how, uh, well they got on after their meeting in chp 1. Kinda surprised she was the instigator given her behaviour so far.

The prize is Keijo.

The penalty is also Keijo.

So its a win either way then.

Kine-san no 1-ri de Cinema 1-5

Thirty something y.o Kine is a cinephile. When not working as an OL, she watch and write review about various movie.

This is hilarious and as a fan of zombie movie, the author really manage to capture the facts that so many zombie movie are absolutely shit.

She's also big fan of Bad Boys 2. This is how i know that she's probably one of the best manga heroine ever. FUCK YEAH!

Anyone here has the hiatus story of HxH? Cause that was eyeopening and could help people in the bet.
Btw read Investor Z and it is really meh, so much mah capitalism and some really stupid mistakes and Japanese self-jearking off

(NSFW) Marriage In Paradise by Yamada Gogogo

In a near future, the world is majoritarily populated by women, which means most marriages are of lesbian couples, and most children are born out of two women.

The perfect setup for raunchy yuri sex! (with the added consequence of babymaking in the process)

Yuri Ninshin is a treasure~

I feel I've been hanging about on the same websites as you two again.
Can confirm both contain great Yuri!

EDIT:

And this is why I rarely post anything Tokyo Ghoul related anywhere but here. As it has the most toxic fanbase.

Shippers are the worst

The international fanbase went insane after chapter 125 of Tokyo Ghoul leaked online. Scanners quickly translated the chapter and fans were eager to read it, but a large segment of the fanbase went apeshit upon learning that Kaneki and Touka have sex!

[...]

Some fans even demanded that Ishida commits suicide while sharing their joy in pirating the series instead of legally supporting their once favorite manga.

Ishida should have trolled the audience by having resolving the cliffhanger with Kaneki saying, "Sorry, I love Emilia."

Re: Zero, right? God, I forgot how bad that was. And why I'm never reading that series.

I've shipped stuff, tonnes of stuff, and is it often cannon? No. But, I've never been like; shit I hate this so much. I often just go; oh, okay, fair enough. And then? I move on. Canon is canon for a reason. It's the author's work, not mine, or anyone else's who reads it.

In fairness, I believe he did in fact tell Rem he loved her also, but he wasn't giving up on Emilia and its not like any of that has been resolved even in the source material.

given the blame! movie release, decided to finally get around to finishing biomega, which obviously required a restart.

yarp, is pretty decent.

Do think that nihei ran out of ideas on how to progress the plot after the structure popped tho, and thus resorted to all of those absurdly convenient reintroductions of key characters at random times, divided by centuries because Structure B Big.

Also unless i missed something, whatever happened to the gravity-controlling drf girl, to machete-drf-guy and to the toa synthetic girl with clawbike was never resolved. Particularly annoying with machete guy, since he just gets a random chap to literally rescue the princess and then phases outta existence.

Fair enough. Still... I doubt I'll ever pick it up, all that toxicity was just a big no-no for me.

What's there to resolve? Just do the harem end

Though I've lost any faith in harem ends since even TLR chickened out.

I really, really, really hate, harem endings. Well, I say that, but. I don't mind them as an idea, it's just that so often they're handled poorly, or only exist to appease everyone, with certain characters - or in the worst cases, no-one - feeling important, making you question why there would be a harem in the first place.

Though when done well, it can be really cool. Just needs the right group dynamic.

Exact same thing happened with Samurai Jack a few weeks back.

Oh, okay.... WAIT! WHAT!?

Oh, okay.... WAIT! WHAT!?

Yea, there was an episode where Genndy crammed every single romcom trope you can think of into 22 minutes and had the episode end with Jack and Ashi kissing to Everybody Loves Somebody.

Shippers lost their shit as apparently they had been shipping him with Johnny Bravo or whatever.

They didn't tell him to kill himself, from what I understand, but the general response was the same.

The Samurai Jack thing was almost hilarious. Apparently he has been considered gay by shippers for many years which made me go ????????????????????

And with Johnny Bravo of all cartoon characters, the one guy who is made to be a parody of a womanizer heterosexual male.

When I say harem ending I say "MC actually ending up with everyone at the same time" and not the cop out "picks nobody so their harem days can continue forever"

Harem endings are a cop out also, the only thing they have over the more standard "no ending" is that they at least resolve that you can be rest assured someone will get laid.

I dunno why shipping as a general proposition grinds so many people's gears, though. Shipping is just a consequence of human nature. Sex and romance are probably the most easily relatable parts of the human experience.

It's a cop out yes but at least it has closure. I'll take that any day over having no conclusion to avoid hurting shipper's feelings.

Also yeah, shipping is fun.

The whole thing was literally insane. There was a Harry Potter thing back in the day as well, but nowhere near as bad because it happened over the course of a number of books.

Oh, and the Naruto thing. A GAF thread got locked over that one.

Shipping is fine, but in moderation. When it gets out of control it can be nasty though.

It's kinda a cop out that way too. I mean, no matter how hard you try as a writer, when doing a harem romance story two characters will always fit together better than the rest. Either you'll have a conscious/subconscious preference or the characters themselves will just push you in that direction.

Must admit, the Johnny Bravo thing made me chuckle.

I get you. And, as I said with the right group dynamic, it can work really well. Can't remember the manga, but it had a harem ending, or would it be polyamorous? Nevermind. And I loved it, mainly due to the dynamic the characters had. Also helped the best friend/lover girl was an absolute badarse.

It's for a reason that last week's Tokyo Ghoul :re chapter took up over two pages of reactions, comments, reviews and such in this thread, where we rarely have anything last longer than half a page.

I think it grinds people's gears when taken to the extreme. Like the Jack or TG situations, or like what happened with Naruto, or how some people try and ship characters in One Piece despite Oda saying he will not do any romance stuff ever.

A certain amount is fine, a lot of series even invite it, but when it literally eclipses everything else then it's kind of a problem.

Yeah harem ending is better then nobody wins ending

Not by a whole lot.

It's not on the writer for the audience's insistence on getting actual angry over Waifu Wars.

HStallion

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
If I was behind a series that shippers got into big time I think I'd fuck with them over and over again, even if it fucks up my story in the process. Like one week a long time expected pairing finally happens but in the next release one character is dead and the other is dating a totally different person with no reason given. Then switch up the week after that. Basically just reacting to shippers to give them a aneurysm every week by constantly going against expectations and just doing the stupidest most random shit possible.

Has there even been an actual "harem" ending though? Like not of a quick few chapters thing but an actual series where there is an actual poly relationship at the end? Cause I feel like that's probably not a thing, or at least not outside of actual porn.

Yomeiro Choice, aka the best and most insane ending to a harem manga ever made

Never said it was. Unless I misunderstood your post.

I mean mostly in that authors tend to try and satisfy all of the different fandoms they have. It leads to Waifu Wars when you tease Tsugumi stuff, and then Onodera stuff, then end with Chitoge, but its the fans problem for not being able to accept that their chosing pairing doesn't happen even if the author panders to it.

TVTropes points out that "Shippers' level of investment can range from 'It's all jolly good fun' to 'This seriously impacts my enjoyment of the work' to 'Prepare for war.'" It's the children that are wrong.

I never really understood shipping, or people getting mad because the author happened to pick one pairing over another. Harem series always feel like cop-outs to me since the whole point is to constantly tease every possible ship imaginable, but then keeping the status quo of having the MC never choose any of the potential love interests for the sole sake of milking shippers for all they're worth. I don't really hate it per se, and can actually tolerate that kind of stuff as long as the series doesn't revolve too heavily around it (ie: Monogatari, which still has crazy conversations and lots of character development, vs Nisekoi, whose story is exclusively about finding out who was the girl Raku loved back when he was a kid).

Yea, that's what I was referring to. The shippers, not the writers.

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
What I'd do is the biggest "fuck you ending"
First I'd have the harem of about four or five, do several chapters of teasing and "will they won't they" and all that shit. Then in the last five chapters, introduce a new character that immediately connects with the protagonist, and they end up together while the rest of the harem is told to piss off.

I'd drink sooo many tears.

Im so glad One Piece dont have a big shipping community

There seems to be one on /a/. Then again that might just be one or two assholes trying to push an agenda.

Because the writer spends years provided tons of evidence for characters being into each other that it is basically encoded in their DNA, then at the end the staffers make an executive decision to ignore the years worth of character interactions and romantic feelings both on and off panel, to show us a pairing that was not canon at all, its simply unrealistic and unreasonable. Just see Naruto, there was nothing there to suggest NaruHina, all the evidence pointed to SasuNaru as canon. Even post Shippuden content still strongly implies SasuNaru, in Boruto being proudly raised as if he is Sasuke's and Naruto's son.
