I was about to post something but there doesn't seem too much of a general interest in speedrunning on GAF. The run is pretty fucking good so far, but there's still a lot that can go wrong. If you've never seen a Wind Waker speedrun before you already missed a lot of crazy shit, but there's still a lot of interesting glitches coming up :D

I'd recommend the new twitch.tv layout though, it has a bigger video area

Also, i dont really see there being much skill involved with Zelda speedruns.

There doesn't seem to be much interest in speedrunning outside of Siglemic/Cosmo and friends who run the most popular titles. A shame considering that's a handful of people out of many speedrunners on SpeedRunsLive running classic games.

Yea, I like Funkdoc. He was streaming earlier, and streams pretty often.

I disagree. The games aren't super technical like SM64, but there are so many glitches that you have to know about, some of which are frame-prefect. Also, a 4 hour WW run is much more of an endurance run, where everything has to go perfectly.

I can recommend peaches_, who runs Mischief Makers and Quest 64 from time to time. Really enjoyable.

Well you can't fault people for only watching Sig or Cosmo. I mean, I like watching Ennopp play MM, but watching a mute Swedish guy run a game with a long intro is kind've a hard sell compared to Mario 64.

Man, Wind Waker is such a wonderful game. The look STILL holds up, and the size of the world/exploration of islands captures the sense of the original Zelda better than any other. I really wish they would make a sequel to this game, with more islands and better dungeon design.

Why does twitch use flash? Whyyyyyyyyyyyy? I want to watch it on my smart tv, but the browser blocks flash, like most browsers. Silly for them to still use flash.

I may not fault Siglemic/Cosmo since they do their part for Speedrunning, though I've observed a trend of Twitch staff promoting their streams on the front page/over twitter above even SDA/SRL events like Sandython or KingsofPoverty. Despite that though, I hope Siglemic's attendance at AGDQ next week will bring in some new viewers/more donations, minus of course all the idiots that frequent Sig's chat.

It's pretty ridiculous. Tingle doesn't even decode all of the charts at once.

I really, really love the art style of this game but the downsides are pretty significant.

Coincidently, I saw a bunch of his Wind Waker Videos just yesterday including the one with the 42 minute record. I'm only catching the end so far but he seems to be doing good.

It's going to be telling when he gets sub 4:38 with these mistakes. He'll be happy with the record but unhappy with how good the run could have been.
