Zonic

Gives all the fucks
Oh damn, that's right, Mighty Gunvolt Burst & more DLC for Master Blaster Zero.

Should be hearing about that possible demo for Ever Oasis soon, maybe an "& there's a demo you can play....RIGHT NOW" surprise at E3.

The OPs for these Nintendo threads always look fantastic! All the essential info and a few nice pictures to whet the appetite. Thanks again for putting in the work each month, I definitely look forward to them!

There's a bunch of indie games I've heard praise for (but haven't played yet) for this month, and I'll be taking a closer look at them for sure.

Hoping for some "Available Now" surprises at E3 too!

Heard about the Ever Oasis demo coming soon but I wasn't aware the actual game was this month. It looks cool but I wasn't a fan in Fantasy Life which seems to be a pretty big source of inspiration for the game so I might skip it.

Anyone else looking forward to an all Switch future? I would be more inclined to pick up EO if it was a Switch game since it is just a more pleasant system to use. Only holding on to my 3DS for Pikmin (why...) and maybe Culdcept at this point, that and I've got a bunch of downloaded games tied to the damn thing.

Me, but those 2DS XLs are tempting me. Maybe I get one to renew my OG 3DS but I don't think I will play it.

Miitopia is all that's on the (known) horizon still for 3DS that I'm interested in, I've been ready to move on for awhile - I wish Nintendo would.

I wish Konami was bringing these TG16 games to Switch instead. Especially in this early interim period before Nintendo has their (online) NES and SNES games ready. Hamster's really benefitting with NeoGeo from the lack of retro competition.

- COQUI THE GAME (Nintendo eShop on Wii U)
- SWAP BLOCKS (Nintendo eShop on Wii U)
- SPHERE SLICE (Nintendo eShop on Wii U)

Three all-caps games in one week with only one being made by RCMADIAX? What are the odds? Let's take a look at this...

SWAP BLOCKS already has an NWR review - looks a bit sterile but seems to be a serviceable puzzle game at least.

Gee, SPHERE SLICE sure looks like an original RCMADIAX concept... I've never seen that font used in combination with a game about slicing things on a touchscreen...

And COQUI THE GAME... well... it has to be seen to be believed. Unsurprisingly, no comments allowed on the video. How do you make a game look this goddamn bad? Like how is it even possible?

And then RCMADIAX devs wonder why they aren't hearing back from Nintendo on Switch dev kits lol

That trailer is... wow. Guy put that weird "overlay" (it's not an overlay, but you know what I'm talking about), hiding lots of stuff... including his own name *oops*

And lol @ "Coming soon to Nintendo Switch". Like, yeah, sure, in a year or two can be "soon" for some people.

I like how the description says "In this video I won't tolerated Hate or Envy !!! Greedy persons are not welcome !!! My dear friends if any of you have plans to make some mini review or any critical to the " Coqui The Game " remember and take into consideration that the game was created only by a person for longer than 3 years."

Bitch please. GulAtiCa and I spent 2 years on a Wii U game and it looks miles better than this, and I actually did the graphics and audio from scratch instead of stealing clip art and royalty-free Newgrounds music. Trash is trash.

Coqui The Game, then.

For one guy, likely using something like Construct 2, that's not half bad. It may not be a looker, but I can happily say he's a put a lot more effort in than the usual shite that comes from our favourite shovelware developer. He's got what look like fairly large levels, some interesting creatures and obstacles going on, a few fun bits like rotation of the stage.. It's rough, but it's not offensive. If he'd teamed up with someone else to do the graphics, found some original music, spent another bit of time polishing.. It could be alright.

And more importantly, he's spent 3 years working on it and the result is he has a game out on a Nintendo platform. I hope it sells well enough to at least cover his costs.

(I won't be buying it though. lol)

(Also maybe Wii U isn't the right place for it, but eh, the console's dead now anyway ;) )

I can respect first-time devs who put out a subpar product, no one makes a gem on their first attempt and it at least shows some initiative. I've bought dire looking Wii U indie games before just because the dev has a good attitude about their shortcomings and an eagerness to improve. It's the "I'm just one person so you can't criticize the game!" approach that this guy is taking that I find laughable.

Not as well as, but instead. I don't understand this attitude.

Konami did these ports many, many years ago in Japan and is only localizing them now.

Nope. eShop discounts are so rare and poor, I think people will avoid it rather than reading it.

Anything major gets its own thread, for what it's worth.

I keep a Google sheet here in case the sales list on Nintendo of America's website breaks (which it usually does).

Not to flood this thread with Coqui discussion but fucking lol at what I just saw on Twitter.

This Indie developer is disgusting. Made my friend work hours on his trailer only to steal it/not pay... Dev refused to pay, took watermarked version, put graphics on top and ran with it

Looks like the mystery of the random overlaid trailer graphics is solved! I doubt anyone was going to buy it even as a joke but here's more incentive not to.

Oh sure, I'm cool with continuing the Wii U releases too. Even though I won't end up playing these games there I'm still giving Konami $3-4 to upgrade each release.

They should be doing TG16 across Switch, Wii U and 3DS honestly. Throw in Steam, PS4 and XB1 too really.

Looks like we got our own DigitalSuicide.
Is there a thread that lists the discounts as well?

According to Saber Interactive, anyone who buys NBA Playgrounds on Switch before the online update hits (whenever that is) will get a free copy of Shaq-Fu: The Legend Reborn when it launches.

I mean, I like the idea of a mea culpa, but Shaq Fu?

Oh right, Ekoro for Blaster Master Zero is out now & free for two weeks. Might as well grab her for when I finally get the game.

also freakin' hell, I need to stop spelling Ekoro as "Eroko" because I keep thinking "well, Ero is part of her name since she's from GalGun"

After to watch Indivisible trailer several posts higher, it's harder to get hype with Shaq-Fu.

Btw, I will update the Op2 with the sales pages.

Didn't notice a thread for eShop for a long time.
Wow, even Capcom discounts has fallen with a requirement for Gold coins or am I misunderstanding something?

Those don't reflect My Nintendo discounts - now that you mention it, I probably should mention those (Super Street Fighter IV especially).

Guess it's worth bringing up in here that it sounds like the Switch's VC now might be a service similar to PS+ or maybe even Netflix as part of their online service.

"Nintendo Switch Online includes ongoing access to a library of classic games you can take anywhere!"

Seems for $20 per year, you'll have instant access to VC titles, including a few that'll add online like Balloon Fight & Dr. Mario. An improvement over "download one NES or SNES game a month".

Edit: Oh damn, Kotaku has confirmed it's a Netflix model.

Mixed feelings on this, I'm sure I'll be keeping a subscription to Nintendo's online service, but I really hope you can download the retro games and don't need a persistent online connection to play them or access an app.

I'm probably never going to play Mutant Mudds Super Challenge on Wii U, so the first fellow Nintendo Downloader to quote this post with the name of the game's main character will get a code for it.

I'd be interested in playing it if you still have it available.

Max is the character, if I'm not mistaken.
