Holy shit. Demon's Crest on 3DS. Incredible.
What was in that Animal Crossing update that released today? I thought the Amiibo support was added last month together with the campground?

Hoping the android version isn't too far off. & they also confirmed one of the playable characters, Toad, will be a My Nintendo reward, which is kind of neat. Just nice to actually have a reward I'm slightly looking forward to.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting to see if there'll be some kind of Xmas sale.

Wow, Shadow Dragon finally hits NA, only 1 1/2 years after Europe. :p

Now to decide if I should get it now, or wait until they clarify how the VC will transfer to the Switch...

It'll be WiiU all over again, just hopefully with better emulation.

Just bug fixes I think. Japan and Europe got the same update a couple weeks back.

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
So I disconnected my Wii U since it wasn't getting a lot of use and decided on a new setup.

When I'm on the TV it's PS4 time.

Then I moved the Wii U unit upstairs so the kids and I could play games just on the gamepad as we chill on our beds.

So far so good. Bought FFTA and playing through that when the Wife works nights at the hospital.

So with the release of AC:NL Welcome Amiibo, the previous version is no longer available on the eShop. However, the previous version was #4 on the All-Time downloads list, so with its removal, everything from 5-20 moved up a space (Pokemon AS moved into #20).

Man, I really want Advance Wars Dual Strikes now. I just beat AW1 and 2 on VC and they're incredible (I put a combined 75 hours into them).

I need more ASAP.

Shantae Half-Genie Hero got confirmed for the 20th on Wii U (there was some question, and the physical version is delayed a week).

Is Picross e7 the first game in that series to launch in NA before Europe? :/

e3 and e4 came out around a month earlier in NA than Europe. e5 was simultaneous, and Europe got the rest first, varying from a week earlier in EU for e6 to nine months earlier in EU for the first game.

We did get Picross 3D 2 a few months earlier in NA though.

*checks eShop* YUP, this week! Huzzah! Really been in the mood for more picross.

I accidentally found out about it when I checked for news on a Western release.

Minecraft: Story Mode - The Complete Adventure (Telltale Games, available December 16) - €34.99/£28.99

Embark on a perilous quest across the Overworld, to the End, and beyond. With a team of friends at your side, and a troubled land in need of heroes, your decisions – what you say and do - drive the story around you, so choose wisely! Features fan-favourites Stampycat, DanTDM, CaptainSparklez, StacyPlays and LDShadowLady.

Pikmin 2 (Nintendo, Wii DL) - €19.99/£17.99
Captain Olimar has just returned home, and is pleased to be in one piece. After crash-landing on an alien planet, he quickly learned that the only way to escape was to utilise the talents of the Pikmin: the cutest little creatures that under his command sought out the scattered components of his beloved spacecraft. With only 30 days to complete the mission before his emergency oxygen supplies ran out, Olimar will never forget the Pikmin who aided him in his hour of need. The NEW PLAY CONTROL! series features Nintendo GameCube classics updated for Wii! New features, new experiences and, most importantly, new ways to control the games are waiting for you, whether you’re new to the titles or have played the originals on GameCube.

Breakout Defense (nuGAME) - €7.00/£7.00
Breakout Defense is a breakout game for one or two players. Play single player against the AI and aim for a high score or two player mode competing against a friend. Supports Off-TV Play mode. This title cannot be played with the Wii Remote only.

Scribble (Bear Box Media) - €2.99/£2.99
Think you've played a game like this before? Think again! Play in Versus, Teams, Elimination, Barricade or even Tug'O'Draw mode, and find out who is the best artist! Introducing optional 'Mutators' that change how you play. Too good at drawing? How are you at drawing when you can't see the page? What if the ink travels in the opposite direction to your pen? Mutators can really switch up the game, adding that random element to the game. Child friendly words! Players can toggle easy mode on and off for individuals, enabling younger players to take part in the same game as everyone else! Don't think our list of over 1500 words is quite enough? No problem! Add your own with the Word Creator!

Teslapunk (klutzGames) - €9.99/£8.99
Teslapunk is a classic 2D shoot-em-up with fast-paced arcade gameplay. You have to defend Earth against an invasion from Mars lead by Emperor Zangórax, who back on Mars is a popular DJ by night and a frantic invader by day. The Invasion takes you through 6 different levels each uniquely designed. Additionally there is a Survival Game Mode where you can level up your ship and buy helpful items. This title cannot be played with the Wii Remote only.

Test Your Mind (XenoHorizon) - €1.99/£1.99
Trick questions, puzzles, tests of memory, and more! This game full of mini-games will test your ability to think outside the box and use the Wii U GamePad to solve various problems. Rules come and go as they please and it's up to you to decipher the solutions to the problems... and maybe even what it's asking in the first place! If you manage to pass the test (don't worry, it's fair), have a friend or family member try it and you might struggle to hold in your laughter as THEY struggle to figure out what they're doing! When you've figured out all the problems, play a fast-paced memory game in local multiplayer and see who can win a battle of brains. Just don't hurt your mind—we only want to test it!

I don't see why they didn't cram all of the Kutar stuff into one download in NA, and I still don't get it for Europe. Maybe that's just me, though.

Just thinking since Stardew Valley was going to probably come out tomorrow on Wii U before it got "promoted"... do you think anything else might have the same thing happen to it?

I wonder.

How many have turned on their WiiU in the past week? Mine has been seeing daily use lately playing Fast Racing Neo & MK8.

Fuck yeah Demon's Crest.

Need to grab the free dlc for 7th Dragon 3DS and SMT4:A if any @_@

A question on the DLC.
The SMT4:A DLC seems to be permanently free?
For 7th Dragon, will I be able to download the temporarily free DLC immediately from within the game, or is some progress necessary. I thought about picking it up for the Seijuus, and I don't mind paying full price to show support to the publisher, I just have currently no time whatsoever to play it.

SMTIVA: Some is permanently free, yes.

7th Dragon: The DLC menu is available from the start and you can grab the items, it just won't come up until a certain point in the game.

So are yall planning to sell your wiiu games or even the system? Im def keepin the system but might sell the online focus games.

As a rule I don't sell systems and rarely sell games anymore. Certainly not when the Wii U has a small library of fantastic games that won't all necessarily make it to Switch.

Looks like Excitebots tomorrow on Wii U, per Nintendo Everything.

How is this game? I never played it back on the Wii. I don't really even know what it's like.

Here you have some updates about 3Souls for those who are interested ;)

The episodes 2 and 3, which are planned for first half of 2017, will be launched as free update instead of DLC. To celebrate this announcement we will be doing a sale during the whole holidays season of 50% off.

Here you can see the first image (gif) of the Episode 2 - Nophes and the luminous streets of Sleepless City:

Looks like it's just Picross e7 for me, especially since I have to wait for the android version of Super Mario Run to have a release date.

Also, for those who have My Nintendo accounts, there was a few discounts added for Mario Tennis, M&L Superstar Saga, NES Open Tournament Golf, & Wrecking Crew

EXCITEbots is great as a frantic, crazy racer in the vein of EXCITEtrucks. Love the animal robots, and the in-race side games to open new paths (e.g. playing a hand of poker, kicking a soccer ball (with the vehicle), bowling; all while racing) is truly surreal fun. Fast, fast, fast. If you like crazy and fast, picking it up is a nobrainer.
