If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
Happy about the ARMS performance +100k opening for a new fighting IP on 1m installed base is pretty sweet.

Hope we can get 40k Switch baseline from now on till the Splatoon 2 launch #believe

Great debut for ARMS, but legs is where it'll be at.

Switch ok, I guess. Was expecting at least 40k (50k max), but shortages heh... Almost 1m, damn.

Great numbers for ARMS, it makes me so happy! Also fun to see 3 Switch games in top 3, the Zelda legs are impressive.

Very solid debut for ARMS. Its a game built to have legs (multi player, new IP, on a small install base). Can easily see 500K LTD.

BoTW and MK8 both went up. Interesting.

Switch hardware continues to underwhelm supply wise. Assuming Nintendo holding back a lot of supply for next month.

Great jump for Zelda, MK attach rate continues to slay, and ARMS with a fantastic opening. Good week for Nintendo.

Nothing is certain, but all the elements of a long tail are present- multiplayer game with high replay value, new IP so room for growth, and on a young system with a small install base that is only going to dramatically increase.

Looks good enough for ARMS, and I'm quite pleased by those PS4 numbers, could have been way way worse considering the lack of software currently.

Well it's great to know that al the big Nintendo releases are hitting the 6 numbers opening week. Great for ARMS hopefully it has good legs and the Switch stock situation improves.

Good start by Arms, only 10K off what I expected in terms of launch week. Now it's all about the legs. With updates planned, summer vacation and Splatoon 2 launch it should do very well for a fighting game - it's entirely possible if it's popular enough it could potentially outsell SSB Wii U LTD. It's just a matter if the IP will be popular among kids and whether they'd have any time to play anything but Splatoon 2 once it's launched.

Zelda crosses 500K physical on the Switch and has a bigger boost than MK8D due to bigger stock.

Nier performance is really making me happy, it's a SP game yet it appears much like Zelda second hand sales don't seem to be effecting it's legs.

It'd be real nice if we got somekind of update regarding the digital sales of Minecraft on the Switch but alas both Nintendo and Microsoft are tight-lipped about the performance.

Arms did alright, but let's see how it's legs are. What I find funny is how many copies of Minecraft are still being sold on Vita with hardware sales that low.

10% of the install base for Arms isn't unreasonable at all, but let's remain cautiously optimistic regarding its long term performance.

Sub-40K for Switch is disappointing, but shortages, not demand, are to blame. Hopefully everyone is correct and their holding out a ton of units for Splatoon 2's launch.

That doesn't seem like a bad start for ARMS at all. Hopefully it has some LEGS after all.

I do hope this encourages Nintendo EPD to keep trying out new ideas and new IPs. They're always really creative.

So ARMS a brand new IP on a Nintendo console that does not use a cameo of other Nintendo IP outsold Tekken, a well established traditional game of its genre.

Surely if Nintendo can achieve this on Switch so can other publishers?

Good result for ARMS, even if its legs will be the real test to see if it actually will become the new "hot IP" or not
Switch bump so&so, even if I believe GAF when you tell me it's still supply-baed

What strikes me is the performance of both MK8D and Zelda BotW Switch version. These are 2 really interesting results, imho, in terms of actual Switch potential sales interest in the Japanese market

The other thing that strikes me is that PS4 is performing in a very solid way, despite the lack of big software releases

Honestly, I could see even worse numbers the next 4 weeks as Nintendo holds back for Splatoon 2 launch. Maybe I'm wrong.

I'm really happy for Nier, but isn't this pretty untypical in Japan? We rarely see J-RPGs stay in the TOP 10, what's the secret with Nier?
