Yeah they would have to probably press charges or file a complaint. If this was a big time company like Nintendo or Sony it would probably be a media or public relations problem though.

Gaming has its own fair share of non sexist approach towards women and the list keeps growing rapidly, especially in other genre and platforms. Many of those that you probably didn't even notice or/ and care.

I'm fairly certain Black Ops outsold DoA4 by a considerable margin and the sexism is less pronounced in that.

DOA is not going to disappear because we point out how clueless the developer is. Seriousness is not going to eliminate "fun and pandering"... like you said, look at TV, films and books... but:
Films and books are in a better "cultural" pedestal than gaming actually is... and the film industry actually fighted for that... even books fighted for that.

There's a difference between complaining about nude sculpture and... well, whatever DOA's deal is.

If anyone wanted a game with a different portrayal of women, there are tons of other options out there. Do you think there are no other games that have "moved beyond this?" The entire 8 bit and 16 bit era had absolutely nothing to do with this at all. An extremely small fraction of games have anything approaching racy sexual content.

Agreed, there has never been as wide a variety of games as there are now counting the new markets on mobile/social platforms. This whole "awareness" thing is nonsense, there are more types of games than ever before. If feminists dislike DOA 5 they can choose not to buy it, I like it for some reasons they hate it, I will buy it.
I think Team Ninja will continue to stick with the market that they have going for the franchise, and I view the arguments in this thread against the game as futile. It's quite obvious that the vast majority of the DOA fans in this thread disagree with the message that the game is somehow harmful.
Chun Li did it for me back in the day. Especially her Alpha suit.

I don't use I Spit on Your Grave, Galaxy of Terror, Raped by an Angel and Zombie Strippers to judge the film medium. Holding up DoA5 over CoD, WiiSports, the Sims and all the over 10+M selling games and the countless indie games that come out.
