Uh... I find it really hard to believe that there's any data or study on this subject. They only say that a study suggests that... there's no fact anywhere.

Edit: For the record, there's an article about this in Science, which is a very, very reputable journal. There's a link to the actual peer-reviewed study in that article.

They talk about verifiable correlation between Earth rotation speed variation (not necessarily slowing down) of several milliseconds a day and intense earthquake.

It is logical to assume that tectonic plate movement would cause such effects.

Which part of that is "bullshit"?

I really don't think 120 years (back to 1900) is a significant sample size for such a prediction.

I mean, they found 5 periods in that time. That could easily be noise.
