Virtual Fighter and Bayonetta are already running on PCs.
Why can't they just throw that awesomeness onto Steam.
Pretty much this.
I had gotten banned for "port begging" for saying a Mobile Phone game should be on 3DS or Vita instead, so I don't see how this or anything else would be any different.
But then, there's plenty of other similar stuff (like all the Bayonetta stuff) that continues on, so, it just seems kind of hit or miss.
Asking them to port 10 games is a little ridiculous. I think this campaign would have a better chance of being successful if you limited the scope to one game, like, say, Vanquish.

Is it okay to port beg now?

In my three month ban from GAF, I spent a good deal of time on Reddit. It looks like it has 8 downvotes and 7 upvotes on Reddit right now.
It's sad, but it sounds like people on Reddit aren't supporting this right now.

I think expecting Xbox ports of obscure games is more than a little ridiculous, but I'm absolutely on-board with this as far as current gen stuff like Vanquish goes.
Nice idea Grief, PC port begging is my kinda port begging.
Port begging is bannable when it is deleterious to a thread.
- going into an OT for a game not on a apltform and saying "this should be on a different platform instead!" = port begging, because it is going to derail a conversation
- creating a new thread saying "wouldnt it be cool if game y was on platform x" is just speculation in its own htread, and if noone agrees it will just die.
Made a tweet about Platinum's stuff here

I feel like Platinum are our best bet now to be honest, MGR appears to be selling well on Steam
I'm going to do my part. I'm going to go out of my way to create a twitter account just for this purpose.
By the way, can we get a thread running on Sega's official forums as well?
We need as much exposure as possible for this.
I don't know anything about these games but sure, why not.
If you don't know anything about Valkyria Chronicles, I feel bad for you man. You missed out on probably one of the most unique games this gen.
Sega, please make your own Steam Machine and port games to it. All of them!
If that is the case, would be nice to get a 100% official noting of it.Port begging is bannable when it is deleterious to a thread.

That would essentially be a Dreamcast 2.Sega, please make your own Steam Machine and port games to it. All of them!
Unless there's rights issues Sega are mad to not have that up on PSN at least to buy. Would do quite well I reckon.
You're right. Maybe there is a shot at getting Bayonetta and Vanquish.
The official explanation that someone from Sega of America gave is that the Canvas engine apparently shits itself if the entire game is ran off the harddrive instead of twin streaming from the disc and HDD.
Which is madness IMO. It's sequels run fine off of digital download and they use the same engine as VC1.
It might also help to buy a few copies of Binary Domain in the mean time.
From all games Sega has in their catalog, I never wanted Binary Domain PC.
It's still puzzling how Sega decided to release Binary Domain on PC instead of the far superior TPS (Vanquish).
It might also help to buy a few copies of Binary Domain in the mean time.

I think it may have been Nagoshi wanting to explore PC as release platform.
Actually was my password, finally tweeted!
Did my part, don't regret buying it, was a fantastic game and would love to have a sequel for it.
If only we could get less CoD and BF and more of this
