This does make it look a lot more outstanding than the current battle.
Granted though, I'd rather see a space opera movie with incredible space combat scenes and a phenomenal musical score

Imagine a game where everyone and anyone can backstab you (and they will). Where anytime you fly into a new system, or a new room in other traditional game, is a throw of the dice. You open the door. Will there be a 10 man gank fleet ready to destroy you for fun/profit? or a clear path to the next door where you can roll the dice again.
a game where you can become an ingame jillionare by not even shooting a single shot, but by playing staock markets and fighting using percentages in profits on a volatile economic market.
a game where you can read a book, watch tv, and just do anything BUT play the game and only concentrate on keeping your industrial ship constantly mining rudemantary minerals that are the lifeblood of the game. Or become a manufacter who uses those minerals to make everything from the ships that people fly, to the bullets they use to destroy those ships you sell back to them.
or spend hours in excel looking at miniscule margins.

Have to wonder if TEST just didn't realize that the goons had that many ships? I mean going into a 2:1 seems really, really dumb, in any situation. But I don't know shit about eve.

Sort of wish I understood EVE. Really facinating game.
It is fascinating, but understanding it doesn't necessarily make it any less boring. It all kind of falls apart for me when you find out that you can "bump" into other ships with your ship in order to prevent people from warping, which is ridiculous. You have all of these mechanics in place and from an outsider's perspective it sounds so technical and complicated, but then you have ships just rubbing against each other in space to "beat the system." That's where I started losing interest, at least.
This is kind of cool, but I think it could be far more appealing if the weapons varied beyond the white lines and huge pink explosions. In particular, having so many of the identical huge pink explosions makes everything really hard to see. If they kept them smaller or tuned down the bloom or something, that might help.If you think this fight looks boring.

According to the annotations, those big pink flashes are actually capital ships warping in.
