And while we are at it, how come nobody mentioned Konami? World Combat and Wartran Trooper are among the best lightgun games we had in the past few years...
Wartran Troopers was a Triforce game fwiw... a Wii port would be especially easy for Konami.

Doesn't matter what systems it is on, as long as it's being ported. Hopefully both Ghost Squad and TC4 will do well enough to give Konami some incentive to make a console release...

Ah, I see. the placement of that front handle and analog stick is for the FPS mode for the Crisis Mission/Mission Mode. There's the preview for the orange colored Guncon3 the US version of Time Crisis 4 will be bundled with :-/ Importing the black Guncon3 all the way.

Ahh, maybe the Guncon 3 works in the same way that the Wiimote Pointer and HOTD 4's gun does. That would explain how they got it to work with LCD/Plasma HDTVs!

AC6 will come to the PS3
as AC7
.

These are the potential scenarios about Ace Combat and PS3:

1. Despite the sales of AC6 on 360, namco decides to port the game on PS3.

2. AC6 makes non-expected sales on 360 therefore namco decides to release a beefed up version on PS3.

3. AC6 makes good sales on 360 and namco decides to release the beefed up version for PS360 in order to cash in even more.

4. Namco intents to create/develop an Ace Combat game for PS3 sometime in the future. A prospective pledge for the old Ace Combat fanbase of the PS consoles.

5. Namco does not have the alacrity to produce/release AC games on PS3.

Actually, I expect both AC6 and T6 to cross migrate... TC4 though, I sort of doubt actually, due to the investment/risk an additional controller brings with it.

Tekken and Time Crisis are the last exclusive Namco franchises on Playstation systems for, so far, 3 generations. Let's see how long Sony will hold on to these before they go 3rd party like Ridge Racer and Ace Combat.

EDIT: Wunko, you were right about the free-roam mode months ago.

Tekken was also on WS and GBA though.
And Time Crisis was released on mobile phones too, but like your Tekken example they were not released on a system console like Dreamcast, XBOX, or Cube.

Well, if that's the standard, we can thrown in a few more well known Namco series (Xenosaga, Smash Court, Moto GP, Klonoa, Point Blank, Libero Grande, Taiko Drum Master, Mojipittan, Alpine Racer, World Stadium, Cybersled, etc). Well, some of those might not be *so* well known. :lol

Jarrod, I'll count Smash Court since there is a PS3 version of that in the works... but those other titles have not shown up on PS3 yet :) (and probably won't for some you listed). Namco does not have the rights to the playstation version of MotoGP anymore since Capcom acquired it and will release another MotoGP game for PS2 :-/

For Time Crisis 4, it will be interesting to see if this new "Mission Mode" will replace both the Crisis Missions that Time Crisis II, 3, and Crisis Zone had or the "console exclusive scenario" for 3rd protagonist. For the home ports of Time Crisis:

Time Crisis 1 - exclusive original scenario that takes place sometime after the rescue of Rachel and to introduces the "other" villain in the series, Kantaris. Richard infiltrates a hotel that is actually Kantaris headquarters.

Time Crisis II - exclusive Crisis Missions with the arcade port of two other Namco Arcade shooters. No exclusive scenaro for Christ Ryan. There are several new cutscenes too that where not in the Arcade version. The soundtrack is also different and sounds abit "inferior" to the original Arcade release.

Time Crisis 3 - Crisis Missions return but also introduces another console exclusive scenario for 3rd protagonist Alicia Winston. This adds more depth to the story and gameplay where it shows Alicia infiltrating Lukano looking for her brother the night before VSSE dispatches Alan and Wesley. Also another villain, Jake Hernandez is introduced to go against Alicia Winston. Alicia's exclusive scenario also has a weapon level system where throughout the game, dependent on which ever weapon she uses, it will gain more rounds and firepower.

Crisis Zone - Crisis Missions return along with another console exclusive scenario that takes place 6 months after the URDA incident. It's important to note that Namco practically REmade this game for PS2. Graphics where upgraded like Time Crisis II but character designs, dialogue, and the soundtrack where altered. Newcomer URDA Jared (Jarrod :p) Hunter is the new URDA leader and kidnaps the STF Commander's daughter and will release her upon the release of all remaining URDA held captive after Derrik Lynch's defeat.

I hope in addition to the 1st person controlled Mission Modes, a console exclusive Captain William Rush scenario will be added like Alicia Winston had in Time Crisis 3. We could see how William Rush arrived at the Airport before Georgio and Evan did in Prologue and even his first encounter with the Terror Bites. But, if there is a Captain Rush scenario, then will Namco alter the 2-3 screen battles with Rush doing the shootouts? Mainly when he is the character unlocking a door while Georgio and Evan are covering him in Stage 1.

Thank you.

This is beginning to shape up nicely. Plus it has a talking skull with a moustache-automatic win. I shall name him Murray for old time's sake.
