Easier to just jump to the manga version of those few animes that are actually not ass too instead of waiting for weekly episodes. Way more content and no filler
So anime got left behind slowly like this

PS was soooo good until that Meiko thing. I'm a fan of fanservice. Have even admitted to reading... certain graphic material. But I can't stand it when a manga drags on and on and expect a reader to care.

Alrighty then. I retract my previous criticism, this girl has more loose screws than my last attempt at IKEA assembly. Still, there's not a great deal of tension here because she has to win this to, uh, not die and have the series continue. And the game's kinda silly compared to the previous two interesting ones, because you could just guess repeatedly and still have a reasonable shot at winning.

And to bring it back to topic, why has Konami never done a Silent Hill manga? I feel like that is just money on the table. Junji Ito needs a paycheck, I'm sure, why not get him? I bet that would be a match made in freaking heaven!

A strange game, the only winning move is not to play against her. This's exactly how I used to play chess as a kid, including the eye-gouging. Judging from this, I'd imagine her card game tactics are similarly refined, i.e. extortion, bribery and repeated paper cuts.

Reminds me of when I read Kanojo ni Nauru Hi, which was ostensibly a love story between two college friends, in a world where like the frog tale in Jurassic park people switch gender (can't remember if they go into the why). Thankfully (I don't think) there was any sexual violence. That would be pretty repellant.

Didn't expect a non-ironically dramatic arc all of a sudden but it did work out in the end. President was trying way too hard to be cool but she was having such a rough time that she didn't notice. Hayasaka as usual is the secret star though

Thanks for sharing. It's indeed a pretty interesting article, though it's weird seeing Boku Girl being praised lol. Too bad she didn't mention TSF Monogatari.

These have been very wordy chapters but the politics is pretty cool and things are really starting to build to a head. Also we have never seen Chrollo looking this pissed off and in such rough shape. Shit's going to hit the fan its going to be insane.

isn't TSF Monogatari that like the purest example of her 'porno grappling with these themes usually devolve into girl bodies like getting banged silly' thesis

I didn't think she was praising boku girl so much as just talking about it in the context of other TSF stuff

Yeah, that's why it'd have made for a good example of how this is usually depicted in adult fiction. I wonder what she'd think of stuff like Dulce Report, Ochiru Tenshi and Trans Venus.

Towards the end she seemed to appreciate Boku Girl's way of handling Mizuki's gender.

Indeed, if anything, the way most TSF stories go, perhaps many of the people who transform are indeed actually trans or queer, even if not explicitly referred as such.

Mizuki in Boku Girl is a good example. While he focuses on adapting to life in a cis female body and finding a way to turn back into a guy, his character development reveals he’s lived a life denying himself of anything feminine. His transformation gives him an opportunity to explore wearing cute dresses and even eating parfaits without feeling shame. Despite the perverted characters and sexual situations rife in the series, Mizuki develops into a stable and well-rounded person by embracing both masculine and feminine qualities by the end of the series.

Could he have not become well rounded and appreciative of both masculine and feminine things while not being in a female body? I thought that was an odd way to praise the series for.

Well yeah, but this article was mainly aimed towards the gender bender genre of manga fiction, and underlines the wish fulfillment aspect of such series for trans women.

Having only read Punpun back then,I caught up with the rest of Asano's works. Thanks to another thread recommending Solanin. He isnt regarded as one of the best for nothing.I like that design and character expressions a lot. Even the explicit sex scenes blend so well with the story.


I doubt anything could be adapted to anime though, except maybe Dead Demon's Destruction. And only if produced by Dennou Coil staff.His works are far too mature and disturbing for non-ero mainstream anime.

That manga artist can be competent in any design and genre.

I read too many of them
The good thing is that they are usually so long that you have more than enough content for the ones that are good when your average novel can go to 1000 chapters or sometimes even 3k

Yeah I'm into it. A lot better without the main 2 (I honestly thought Taiju is the MC so I'm really happy with the Senku switch). I really like how everything is kept simple and clear from the visuals despite the fact it could have EASILY been huge text dumps and slow pacing explaining every little thing. It looks like the author did his research so that must have been hard to resist.

Uh oh. Man I really don't like the scrub group. That was the face of a dude who's gonna stir up trouble. And I didn't forget how they're huge nutties who killed the corpse hunters.

Actually I wish the scrub group is just dealt with next chapter and we never see those poopers again. Those guys are the worst. Just thinking about it makes me hmph.
