This is the V-Gauge; it's found in the bottom corner of your characters' side of the screen. V-Gauges can contain either two or three bars, depending on the characters. Your V-Gauge fills up mostly by taking damage, and bars are required to use a V-Reversal move (one bar) or V-Trigger (all bars). V-Skill does not require any bars.

V-Skills are unique to each character and can be used at any time, fills the V-Gauge on "succesful" use. Activated by pressing mp + mk at the same time.

When one or more of your V-Gauge bars is filled, you can use a V-Reversal. V-Reversals are counter attacks to break out of your opponent's pressure, and costs 1 bar of your V-Gauge. Activated during guard by pressing forward + lp+mp+hp or lk+mk+hk at the same time.

When your V-Gauge is completely full, you can use your V-Trigger. V-Triggers are character specific; some drain the V-Gauge slowly, while others deplete it as soon as the move is used. Activated by pressing hp + hk at the same time.

Q: Still no arcade mode?!
A: Arcade mode has been rumoured to be added soon, at least if the datamine is to be trusted, along with the "extra battle" mode.
Q: Super Street Fighter V?
A: If another version of SF5 would be released, it would just be a repacked version with Season 1 content, the game's update model is structured as such that all balance updates are free, so the playerbase will never be fragmented.
Q: So nothing about the Season 2 roster yet?
A: Aside from the released Akuma, not yet, fan favourites like Sagat remain highly requested. The following characters have shown up in the story and could possibly show up in Season 2, however the character pass 2017 does note Brand New characters:
Q: What percentage of the Capcom Pro Tour DLC revenue is going to the Capcom Cup 2016 prize pool?
A: A minimum of 30% of the revenue will go to the Capcom Cup 2017 prize pool, and an additional 50% of the revenue is invested into Capcom Pro Tour production. That means that Capcom contributes more than 80% of all CPT DLC revenue directly to support Capcom Pro Tour initiatives.
Q: Where can I go to find all that juicy frame data?
A: FATonline is a good place to start.
Q: How can I get Fight Money?
A: Fight Money is only available if you are connected to the server; if you are playing Street Fighter V in offline mode, you will not earn any Fight Money, even when you log back in after the fact. You can earn Fight Money through the following activities:
Q: Why can't I chip people out?
A: Chip damage can only KO an opponent if it is chip damage from a Critical Art.
Q: What is the priority system?
A: Supers > Specials = Heavy > Medium > Light.
Q: Can you crouch-tech throws?
A: No, to tech a throw you must be standing up
Q: Wait, so how does crossplay work?
A: The game has its own matchmaking system called "Capcom Fighters Network" or CFN for short, this allows people to match even if they are on Steam or PSN
Q: Is SFV forgotten?
A: ...
Q: Why is online so laggy?!
A: Please don't play online if you are on Wi-Fi, likewise you might be getting matched with Wi-Fi connections. Also there are a bunch of ports required for proper communictation:
TCP: 80, 443, 20002, 30840, 30850, 30870
UDP: 30840-30859, 30870-30879
Q: Help! My game crashed during updating and now just keeps crashing.
A: Try what user Demoli posted
Q: I saw an almost naked Urien, how?!
A: Hold "jab(lp)+ forward(mk)+ fierce(hp)" during loading up until you see the new animation

Oh right, don't forget that the Christmas DLC was taken down.

And the Red Bull costumes (really this is just for Ryu) were for Japan only. The current BBoy Ryu lacks the Red Bull advertising.

Same as Chun-Li's BGirl outfit. They're just really bad costumes, IMO.

I'd like to think they'll put them back up at some point
hopefully on sale as well
so new players (lol) can buy them.

I'm still waiting on Capcom to re-release the Thailand stage, too. Sucks that it's just there and you can't get it :\

*gasp*

I've been removed from the final boss list!?

That's what I get for bringing Alex into ranked. Once I get all warmed up, I'll get my name back up there.

Nice OP, by the way.

Going from the song lyrics, I guess Ed is going to hit a certain age but not go over it? I thought he would be aging too fast, but I'm guessing the impending doom is Bison taking over. Wouldn't make much sense to hop in a body that's aging so fast that you'll need another one soon aft er.

Sigh...

Can't believe I'm top of the wall of shame for 7 OTs in a row.

You even beat me of all people.

Yeah, forgot where I read it but it's said his genetic code has been altered so that he'll age quickly enough reach a state that's perfectly suited for Bison.

Thinking about replacing my buttons on my Q4raf from the Sanwa to Seinmitsu since for me the buttons are a bit too sensitive and I accidently push them way too often.

My question is, does it matter if the buttons are the snap in type (which the Q4raf came with) or the screw in type?

New thread, New Ed.

"controversial inputs" let's see. I'm old school but generally only get bothered when there's talk of doing away with charge motions entirely.

Edit: snap-in vs screw-on, no difference aside from installation. Screw-on's are more work to install basically, but not by much. Sometimes working room is iffy on these panels so getting them snugly screwed on is a bit of a pain. That's it.

Thanks!

On Ed. I'm very interested trying him out and see how the inputs play out. I am happy Capcom is trying these different input methods out on new characters instead of familiar ones.

smh no one told me about a new thread

I think it's a little ninja mask like Yusuke's in P5...

maxresdefault.jpg

Might be worn on the side of the head. Would fit well with the thing that looks like it might be a sword

P5A when

Yeah, I didn't necessarily expect the trailer's theme to be his actual one. I think that's cool.

Oh, and the VA is called Edward Bosco. Fitting.

when I saw that I thought it was his full name lol

You probably can too, I'm a lagswitcher from another continent who plays on Wi-Fi with stuff downloading in the background.

Just like all your online opponents.

Maybe in a different fighting game I can.

But joking aside that doesn't even make sense. Unless you mean in an offline fight.
