and brockhampton was on ig live showing some new songs from SIII and they sound like fire

These dudes have so much dope shit man.

But I’m really curious as to where their style is gonna be in the next year or so when they’re off the saturation hype.

What a bump in that "Hip-Hop in the past decade, your opinion?" thread, smh:

Hip hop reached it's peak artistically and creatively in the 90s.

After that there have been a few artist here and there that were decent but as a collective whole the genre is pretty much dead and 2017 was pretty much another doo doo year that helped solidify that.

The biggest artist out right now is Cardi B and The Cash Me outside girl, nothing more needs to be said.

Hey, Des, are you talking about the Errorsmith album that comes out in a couple weeks? Other than that, I don’t know which album you’re talking about.

provide a warning next time. don't click that if you value your sanity.

anyway, this brent faiyaz album is interesting. it's like a late 90s r&b album that never happened. the vibe is right, but it needs some help on the lyrics and composition side. shoutouts to stay down, talk 2 u and all i want.

You should check out his collaboration EP with producers Atu and Dpat. They go by the name Sonder, choice song off the EP:

The albums sounds great to me but yeah, in a year with Daniel Caesar and a year after Frank Ocean dropping amazingly written albums this is lacking on the lyrics side. I didn't notice it on his other projects. I still really like it though. The late 90's early 00 sound is super refreshing to me since a lot of other contemporary R&B sounds the same to me.

Wu-Tang Clan's album: Wu Tang: The Saga Continues.

Who is messing with this?

Generally i find it dope, but they didn't succeed (for now) the connection with each other, even with U-God's abscence. In other words: the togetherness.

Method Man, Redman, Inspectah Deck were cool, on the real.

Ghostface was disappointing, next to Masta Killa & GZA.

Beats were very good, main.

Baka's Money in the Bank 👌
Supporting human trafficking though....

EDIT: should probably clarify. Even though Baka hasn’t been convicted of trafficking, the fact he was able to got without a conviction due to witnesses feeling scared to testify leaves me worried about supporting him. Even though Drake helps with his bars, I don’t feel right supporting someone like Baka.

every day i feel more and more like an old head like Joe Budden, everytime i hear what my lil sisters listen too its somewhere between lil pump, kodak, a boogie, 21 savage lol

lil pump gucci kinda bumps

Need some background...on all the points you made.

Best Slum Village album?

Volume II and Slum Village (2005). They're basically two different groups, but both albums are undeniable.

The fact that the SV album is 12 years old is fucking with me a bit.

You should check out his collaboration EP with producers Atu and Dpat. They go by the name Sonder, choice song off the EP:

One of my favourite tracks of the year.

I like Sonder quite a bit. I also really like 'Poison' from his previous EP. Good stuff all around.

I'm excited to see how he grows after this. I really like the sound of the album.

DNA, Light, HEAT, Break Them Shackles, Apple of My Eye, and Foreword are the intro's of the year so far off the top of my head.

Not Kill Jay Z though, it's the only trash song on 4:44.
