am I one of the few who loves FFXV's universe? I actually really liked FFXV and its story was actually really solid if you know everything behind it. The Problem was their absolutely terrible way of telling it. Ardyn also has been one of my most interesting and favorite villains in the last few years. I really want to see what he was like before he became corrupted by everything and tried to solve the problem himself.

I am totally fine with that. As long as I know where it falls on a timeline then it doesn't matter as much how I access it. The only problems with that so far I find is that the game gives your character a generic level, not representative of where they are in the story but that has more to do with the balance I guess.

The real question is where is my President of Square Enix stuff and what are they going to do with Young Noctis and Young Prompto? Both have fully animated models that haven't been used besides once or twice.

Lol, yeah. We only partially saw her head and neck:

Or do you mean these from the 2013 story boards, Socivol?

Yup those storyboards. I actually think he face looks pretty similar in game. I don't know what they did with that render but she looks much better than that in the actual game.

I mean I love the idea of FFXV's universe I just wish the games that took place in it were better. Nothing against the world itself.

If they can't manage that, the game would be probably better off without them.

The cutscenes in the DLCs have been very well-shot and acted. Especially the scenes in Episode Prompto and Chapter 13 Verse 2.

Telling the story about Shiva is nice, but not necessary in my opinion. I'd rather hear more about Ardyn and Ifrit.

Looking forward to episode Ignis. Episode Prompto was a fantastic addition and actually filled a relevant gap in the story.

Except Luna is the one holding back the Starscourge and is basically the one who saves the world, for without her, no one would've been successful.

Because of the many months they spent together as kids and because of the continued correspondence throughout their lives after they met.

I really loved that scene personally. One of my favorite scenes of the DLC actually.

I like the final one much better. She always seemed more mature/serious since 2013, and she didn't seem like one who would wear something more casual. I always felt like she would have a more refined look so the cloak she has is more than welcome.

The sleeve she had seemed interesting though. Indicated more of a combat role.

And she looks the exact same as the render. Same face. Translating CG to the in-game models, you lose a bit of that look anyway. Same as every other character. She looks fantastic in the new clip we saw in the new footage, though.

Erm... ... ... Are you talking about the Ravus thing ?
Because I really don't see much good about that scene

I am talking about all the scenes in Verse 2, but the Ravus scene does stick out in particular as being well-done.

A fantasy world based on reality is not a bad premise. Neither are the concepts in the FFXVverse But holy shit did they botch it both in terms of storytelling, character motivations, coherency, etc. to the point that two year later these devs are STILL putting scenes in the game in an attempt to salvage the plot when the problem, as those hilarious gifs show, is down to core character motivations.

Ah, okay. I noticed the digital premium edition is on sale, so I might grab it this week.

Soo, where's the September update with the increased hunt capacity (and, if I'm not wrong, the first bit of the free story updates focused on the summons)?

EDIT: Ah, on the 29th apparently? Though I'm still not sure if the story update is in this update already or in the next one.

Still not sure if this one has new story stuff already or the next one. Also Tabata said there would be connection to Episode Ignis somehow in the next update that has story updates.

Oh, and I guess it will be both accessible from the title screen and integrated as cutscenes at some point in the main game? If it's only through the title screen, then LOL.

I assume they're patching the game to address the extremely common complaint that you can only accept a single "Hunt" type side-quest at a time, which means a lot of pointless back and forth to accept and complete them.
