So basically, according to the leak:
Fairies will be immune to Dragon attacks.
Fairies types will be weak to Poison and Steel attacks.
Fairy attacks will be strong against Fighting, Dragons and Dark.
Fairy attacks will be resisted by Fire and Psychic.
Trying to grasp the implications of a new type...this could either be great for balance or destroy it utterly.
You will be able to see a Pokemon's EVs at a certain in-game facility. You will be able to boost the EVs through mini-games. It will take about two hours to get one stat to max EVs.
Cloyster I guess? *shrug*So...this takes away what Ice should have had as a resistance. Is there any point in using Ice Pokemon? lol
Yes. Yes. Yes!

They're going to replace Join Avenue (since GameFreak loves to remove awesome features) and give us tedious minigames to EV our Pokemon? Two hours to max out a stat? I can max out everything in like 5 minutes with the JA. Fuck.
Being able to see the EVs without any outside help would be a nice touch though. Could also educate more people about how stats work.
Odd how they would go with Patrice as the prof. name. I liked the tradition of every proffesor name being based off of a tree.

If they're going to be glass cannons they should buff em a tad.Ice and fire are in the same boat. Good offensive types, horrible defensive types.
The dragon nerf is sick and wrong

Oh, it's been a looooong time coming.
I kind of wonder how dual-type attacks would be affected by STAB.
But would it be additive or multiplicative?Maybe it's the same, but if the pokemon has both types it gets a double STAB
You and me both.I miss him
But would it be additive or multiplicative?
If I have Weavile using a Dark/Ice-type attack with 90 base power, would its new base damage be 180 (additive) or 202 (multiplicative)? It's a significant difference that would only be exacerbated by stronger attacks. If it were multiplicative, I feel like dual-type moves would need to be typically weaker by default than single-type attacks for balance.
That's what I was thinking too, and that could lead to a lot of potential insanity. I feel like it would create a rift in the metagame, depending on what kind of variety these moves appear with.It would be Multiplicative as that's just how things have always worked.

Anything that speeds up the EV training process and allows more control over it = godlike
It's slowing down the EV training process if anything.
It had to be done.
Oh sure, I agree.
But an immunity? Dragon-types won't be able to do squat until your opponents Fairy types are out of the way. Even worse, is that Dragons have like 0 coverage moves for those Fairy types. If executed correctly, Dragon-types will take a massive nerf. If executed poorly, they'll end up being flat out unviable.

What Dragon nerfs are there besides Fairy?
I doubt Fairy types will be offensive anyways.
All them Dragons is gonna be carrying Steel Wing/Iron Tail now!
The wait begins to see if Togekiss is fairy-type.
