How will Antonius manage to weasel his way out of this situation and save more politicians’ families from being murdered? Can he come to terms with being separated from his wife and accept that his best chance of returning to her is by donning the Shanhara armor once more? Or does Aric have a death wish? Dark Days starting out this month? I did not know that.

I think I will buy Dark Days actually. Kinda want to enjoy the ride for this one and see whatever madness that spawns the dark matter books.

Read Animal Man's version of Rotworld for the first time this evening, had previously only read the Snyder version of it. It was...worse. Somehow. I really like the first year of both books but Rotworld really is a shower of shit on both ends. Good fallout on Animal Man's side though. Very sad, the annual #2 is just </3

Dark Days sounds like it will get weird from what DC has said about the event. I might check out all of the Dark Matter Books when they come out too.

It looks nicer this way. The other way was just a mess of books. I didn't even make it.

Don't worry, the Looney Tunes books still look like a mess. I'm usually very wrong in my predictions, so this will likely be King's best Batman book.

Solicits kill me: "…and the Teen Titans will never be the same." I imagine they're written tongue-in-cheek.

Messi is just supporting a time-honored GAF tradition. It's no surprise that with hooligans taking over Atlantis, we'd get a reference to the Terrorist's Law.

SAGA 43

OH, FUCKING

See, it's funny, because with Saga this could be reaction or description or both.

Jesus Christ, that Secret Empire twist. Thank god for DC Rebirth.

It really is pretty bad.

You guys remember way back in 2016 when Marvel was dominating the comic industry, Image was our creative darling, and DC was laughable dreck?

Those were simpler times. Trump wasn't president, for starters.
'

This is what I keep saying!

The decline was probably in the Avengers Now! period, but Marvel Now 2.0 was the nail in the coffin.

When did Imagine stop being the creative darling? Did I miss something? Seems like they're still just as good as they were a year ago.

I think some are addicted to shiny new #1 issues and there's been less wow debuts. But they still have plenty of books still producing good quality

Last year or so. They aren't really churning out hits at the clip people were expecting back then.

The Flintstones is ending! And next week!

A big hole in my preorders.

So the new Spider-Man book doesn't sound like a good spot to jump in, or is it?

June already sheesh. Think not much plans this month comic wise (just coming out from the Wonder Woman sale through), but looking forward to seeing Wonder Woman.

Flintstones was so damn good, it's a shame it's done and over with. The last issue isn't even in the second trade either! Did it suddenly get cancelled or what.

Also............

For me they had started to slide a year ago. Most of the stuff I enjoy is stuff from 2-4 years ago. A golden period for Image imo. Since then they seem to be chasing all kinds of books with little to no return. For me at the very least little is sticking. They didn't have an image expo this year but instead had a presser and announced books none of which sound interesting to me at all. Its very telling that they cancelled the expo given the sound of these books.

The last book for me that hit that I still enjoy is I Hate Fairyland.

That period for image 3-4 years ago. wow.

Last issue is this month, as seen in the OP. Its ending at 12, apparently that was planned. Only one trade is out 6-12 is in vol 2. Out in october.

I am not answering that.
Yes.

Yeah, I guess all the Image stuff I love is older comics that are still running, rather than new ones.

I love Image, but DC has sucked up money I used to toss their way. I'm pulling a few Image titles now, whereas I read 10-15 of their books each month last year.

Marvel never factors into my comic "budget" became LOLMU.

I think only Extremity is the one that set the thread on fire

I think the only new recent one i like is Fix and Seven to eternity(which i don't love)

Old Guard just started and i think it's getting better and maybe Kill or be killed but i think that had a lot of breaks

Otherwise it's same old same old

edit: oh and God Country
