Dante's birthplace is less than one hour by train from where I live. I've been to Florence twice last year, and I'm still mad because both times I had no time to visit Dante's monument in front of the church of Santa Croce. The Divine Comedy has been an integral part of my culture since my high school studies, I consider it the biggest literary masterpiece of all time.elrechazao said:Do you think centuries old italian literature is above commercialistic reproach or something? Are you against developers promoting their games? I really just don't understand what you have a problem with unless you're dante's heir or were working on a serious Inferno film adaptation that shared a release date with this video game. If none of those things, I'll eagerly await you flipping out about god of war being the result of a 13 year old kid's twisted idea of the characters of greek mythology after reading a summary of the stories on wikipedia.
So yes, I believe I have the right to feel disappointed at the way it's been treated.
And yes, I believe God of War is also juvenile, and so are many games nowadays. Does this deny me the right to feel more disappointed towards some of them? Especially when they hit closer to home?
Anyway, I'm tired of this discussion so I'm backing out. Have fun!
