OH wow, that is a leakton if there ever was one (well, behind the uncut Manhunt 2, I suppose.)

I hope it was worth it EB employee. Knowing your dumb ass, you bragged to your friends + co-workers about it. And they'll probably snap the second they get interrogated or just turn you in themselves for their own benefit because they don't really give a crap about you or think you're cool. GG

Nintendo's gonna put a million dollar hit on this bastard. They don't call it their war chest for nothing.

no thats just a nerdy dude looking at the disc at a gaming store no one said he was the guy responsible

how big of a deal is this? will anybody with a DVD burner and bad intentions be able to play this or will it pretty much be relegated to people with modded wii consoles?

The Wii already has a wide range of mods available for it. The newer Wiis (as of June or July?) haven't been hacked yet though. Nintendo closed the loopholes.

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.

people who weren't going to buy the game anyway will be able to play it earlier.

Actually there is one for the newer unit and it's something like 30 wires to install.

I don't think this will affect sales that much, casuals don't hack Wii's.
I would have agreed with you, except that 4 out of 5 people who work on my team that have a Wii have modded theirs. We are talking about people in their 40's who bought the Wii for their kids and have had them modded by a local guy who advertises in the local paper.

i was talking about the car flying off the cliff :|

everyone knows Nintendo Take on piracy and they arent just going to give you a slap on the wrist.

Even though Casual dont know how to mod their system it still on the net free for download for those bums who dont appreciate buying games from HARD WORKING PEOPLE.

Well, Nintendo shouldn't have given people retail copies of the game. Why didn't they create a ten minute demo disc or something like that?

According to a poster on GBA Temp its already been pulled by the original seeder.

As from what I know, it was only available from one place here on the internet, and it was not a scene release. While we were downloading it, the person who uploaded it canceled the upload because the torrent included the name of the site that hosted the torrent. The adiminstrators didnt want their name on the release, as that would probably kill the torrentsite, so apparently the uploader is now uploading the .iso to the administrators of the site.

Got to download about 20% of it, before the uploader cancled it.

Also, there are rumors that the game can use the 3.1-patch to detect the cyclowiz-modchip in the console, as he got an error when trying to run a burned version of the game. However, details about this is not known, and as the uploader now is AFK (at work), we will have to wait.

I say again, as of what I know there is no scene group thats releasing it, only this one person who got the (what we think) full version from a demo stand.

Ill keep you updated if I learn more from this torrentsite, or the uploader himself.

Or people who really want to play the game ASAP and continue their save file with the real copy when it releases.

The 10 minute reset is built-in the kiosks, not the games themselves.

What site is claiming to have this?

Probably some small torrent site just trying to get traffic and Gaffers to go crazy.

The disc is not the retail version. It's meant for kiosk and spits an unrecognized hardware error when on a normal Wii. It will probably be cracked but as of now there is no publicly cracked version. Just because the ISO is there doesn't mean it's playable.

NOA really suck, they could release Mario on Nov 5 (4 days after Japan), but it seems because of Fire Emblem, they're waiting til Nov 12.
I doubt they're using the extra time to print more copies.

Your first post has the same sitename in it.

A side effect of this will be that The Mario Game contains "awesomeness code" that overwhelms and destroys all the computers of all non-awesome people.

Meaning, in two weeks time, the code will have spread like a virus, using the torrent to infect and the infected as vectors, until the awesomeness code has spread throughout the entire internet. Stupid users, trolls, GameFAQs, all will be wiped out in a glorious-though-disturbingly-genocidal wave of awesome. Stupid threads will cease, fucked up porn sites and forums will go down, Runescape and ad-covered flash game sites will be obliterated, Freewebs, Geocities, and Angelfire will finally meet their end, topsites that link to each other without any actual content will be massacred, pirates will be put out of business, endless e-arguments will cease. The e-celebrities, the wannabe e-celebrities, the internet drama, all will be washed away in the coming flood of awesome.

In the end, the Internet will finally become cleansed. It will lack the shitty amateur-ness of the old Internet, while keeping its awesome and exclusivity, and retain the sleek and sheen of the new Internet, while banishing its overinflated Web 2.0 ego.

And so The Mario Game will create Paradise on Screen.

Slow clap. Excellent, my friend.

My friend (i live in Brazil, lot's of modders here :p) told me he got this message from the tracker:

Super Mario Galaxy USA Wii-****** was deleted by ***** Reason: ******** is not to be mentioned in this torrent.

As you can see we've deleted this torrent and we're now waiting for the uploader to re-up it without mentioning ****** anywhere in the torrent.

NOTICE: This is a mass pm, it has been sent to everyone

The site I named doesn't carry roms or isos and I don't think they allow links to anywhere that does. They keep everything to IRC, or at least they used to. I haven't frequented there in quite some time.

Plus you left it in the OP.

Reading makes me a criminal? Do you want to police my thoughts next?

Assumptions and generalizations are a horrible thing.

I'm not going to get into the blame game here, but we already have someone stating that "if he can get it early, he will".

I honestly dont know how some of these sites can even stay up longer then a milli-second.

you can't put a price on sparks
ok i totally hate how they make you use the A button to jump over all these hurdles in the Track and Field world. The Duck Hunt world is a disappointment too, you don't even get to shoot the dog with your fireballs, it just deflects off his forcefield or something.

I assume you know that a hacker is not just someone who breaks into software systems, right?

remember when halo 2 leaked weeks early, and then when it came out nobody bought it?

fact is piracy on the Wii is much less of a problem than it was on the original Xbox. this isn't going to effect anything.

Yeah, that's why Nintendo didn't have the HK government step in and destroy 10,000 pieces of mod equipment in the last few weeks.

Don't worry though, this leak probably won't affect the major territories like EU,US,and Japan.

i'm not part of the "scene", someone who is msged me the info. My wii isn't even modded.

Hey, you read this thread and know about the leak, i guess you're a hacker too? See, generalization is stupid.
