A lot of the music notes you have to chase down specifically seem to make you leave the area and force you to take the long way just to get back. It's the worst.
They seem to loop round when left long enough, eventually I just began playing the waiting game instead of the chasing, especially in the awful modern era hub layout.

the trick is to stay at the place you activate the note it always come back at the starting point .. so just wait 30 sec and jump in most cases

To anyone else with the 3DS version:
Do you guys know how to beat missions 87 and 89? These are the last two I have to clear and I can't figure either of them out.
I consistently cant find three enemies in 87, and I don't know where the laser wisp is in 89.
edit- Nevermind, looked up 89 and was able to find out where the wisp was. Can't find anything on 87 though

Just picked up this bad boy today. 100%'d Green Hill Zone already. A lot of fun, indeed.

You can unlock Sonic Boom and Palmtree Panic reaaaaaaaal quick, so yeah, this game is good. :lol The Metal Sonic fight is also wonderful.

More specifically, they sound like somebody played a MIDI file and called it a "remix" - assuming we're talking about what I think we're talking about.

Considering the last time I played pinball was the version that came with XP forever ago I'm not that upset. It's pretty fun, I guess.

I wish. I've been sitting on a few thousand Microsoft points in anticipation of there being DLC for Generations like there was with Unleashed.

While the game overall seemed polished enough, I get the feeling Generations didn't get much of a budget, especially when you compare it to Unleashed. Even after 06 tanked, Unleashed still got one of the most expensive looking cutscenes in the franchise's history, an epic multi-part final boss, a pretty well produced 10 minute CG short, complete hubs for each country, an entire baffalingly different gameplay style, and tons of additional act packs as dlc, along with all of that R&D spent on the Hedgehog Engine and the entirely different Wii and PS2 versions. Even Colors had an entire zone devoted to building up to the finale + CG cinematics.

I'm finding it hard to understand how they could afford a huge game like Unleashed after the overbudget flop that was 06, but Generations seemingly gets treated like a side game with just the main stages and sub missions. It didn't even seem like they had enough time to finish the final boss. I'm starting to wonder if we'll even get dlc for Generations honestly.

Well Generations was developed alongside Colours, right? It probably WAS considered the side game given that the real money for the franchise is on Nintendo.

When the shit is this going to get a price drop, lol?

You could've pre-ordered the (superior!) PC version for $25 if you were paying attention. :p

Not that $25 is much of a discount when you can still get it brand new on Steam for $30 right now. There's a demo if you're not sure how it'll run on your system.

For some reason, I think the Casino Night Zone pinball minigame IS the only DLC. I don't want to think that, but it could be true. How long did it take Unleashed to get DLC?

It was four months after the game's release, the Chun-Nan pack came out in March. I really hope they don't skimp on the DLC.

They're all too busy with the Wii U game to make DLC. Shame- I want some Sonic 3, CD and Rush levels. :(

That's rumored to be the Colors Team plus Nintendo staff, so it doesn't really affect the Unleashed/Generations team.

Above all else, I'm amazed they haven't said anything about music DLC.
