No, I did not.

What I did was post the review from the only serious racing game reviewer (Petter Hegevall) from my country's (Denmark) biggest gaming magazine, Gamereactor.

Then I defended the reviewer when people attacked him and I showed how he has praised Forza in the past much more than the previous couple GT's. That's the only thing I posted about in the thread. How is that shitting on the game?

He will be posting his GTS review tomorrow and I can guarantee you that I will post it in here.

End of off-topic.

Comparing F7 to GTS is pretty useless as I would guess most people only have one platform to play on. So I'd think PCars 2 is the better metric.

The real issue is that most reviews, as a general whole, don't really evaluate online thoroughly and even if they do, they don't place it anywhere near the same importance of single player.

Take this quote from GamesRadar's review.

But, having played both a very great deal (and Project Cars 2 as well), Forza 7 is demonstrably better than GT Sport in pretty much any area you could choose. It’s now down to the community to see which game provides the superior online experience. See you online.

Except both communities agree on at least one point - Forza's online experience is poor so far, while the opposite is true for GT Sport.

In my ~5h of Forza races I have barely encountered mass crashing. There's always one guy who tries to fuck up everyones game once he races full speed into a wall but that'd be true for GTS too.
And to my knowledge Forza will add leagues later on where crashers will be sorted out etc.
Now it's for GTS to show if the system in place really helps and if 3 races a day really are enough variety to keep the mp alive.

So I would call bullshit on your statement.

I got a quick question related to the Gamesradar's comment about damage modeling in quote below.

Gran Turismo Sport is still reluctant to get its suit dirty, too. Damage modeling is extremely weak, and impacts with other cars and barriers are poor. Compared to Forza’s deep-sinking tyre walls, GT Sport’s rock-solid barriers make this feel like a PS2 game.

I thought carmakers refuse to let games model or show realistic damage to their cars? How was Forza able to do better?

Oh reading this I'm wondering - do cars get dirty while you drive?

In longer races the Forza 7 models show signs of oil, dirt and scratches on the paint.

Just check the official forums of Forza, or the Reddit channel. There's a strong overall negative feedback on the online component so far, while those who played GT Sport's beta and demo have been very positive.

This is true, I said the same thing in PC2 review thread. Little to no coverage of the online modes. One site listed all the online features (even mentioning "online championships", which are still missing) and called it a day.

I just wouldn't trust the GTS beta and demo feedback because mostly only hardcore fans are interested in these kinds of things and these fans WILL try to drive normally.
We have to wait some days and see how your Brodude will drive in GTS online mp.

Also I'd never ever check any official forums for any game and reddit is always shitting on everything regarding every game.

Only thing that matters is my experience which was fine, especially fine for a racing game.

That's the thing that will be solved with the DR and SR matchmaking. Those dudes who ram intentionally will after the ratings start to come into place only be matchmade with other low SR ranked intentional rammers.

Then the brodude will be stuck racing other brodudes while those who want to race respectfully will be left alone to do so with like minded people. That's the whole point of the SR system and that's why GT Sports online component has has so much praise so far.

Also I'd like to see a video of this 5 hours of no mass crashing in Forza online.

I'm not saying it's perfect or great, but it's def. on the better side of racers I played online :D

To be fair PD just put together the previous Career, Licenses and Challenges in a single mode in GTS.

It has less numbers of each one but it fair more balanced compared with the massive boring number of racing events in GT5/6.

I found the career fun and more focused this time.

And GTS did a better job with the RPG elements and collection than previous games even when you have less “things” to collect.

Impressions are just like I thought after the latest demo: Gameplay/Driving is awesome, but content sucks.

Hopefully DLC won't take too long to arrive. And obviously there should be some decent amount of free new content and not everything should be paid DLC.

My review (in Portuguese): ZWAME - 9/10

I was pleasantly surprised on how good the online was and how well the SR works. Because my SR is "A", my races were all very civilized. The single player portion is not as big as previous entries, but to be honest, I don't miss anything in the old campaigns. GT Sport feels good to play and is a very enjoyable experience all around.

Doesn’t look great

The first thing you’ll likely notice is that GT Sport isn’t the best-looking title you’ve ever seen. It isn’t ugly – but, aside from when you’re watching a replay, the visuals are a tad uninspired. Car models themselves are great, as is the lighting, but the overall package is a bit drab. If you’re looking for bells and whistles, you won’t find them here.

http://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/gt-sport

Looks utterly gorgeous

Forza has always been a showcase game for Xbox, with every new piece of hardware using one of its titles to show off exactly what the hardware can do. While we may not have the X, this is still the most stunning racing title ever seen on a console, and it’s only going to get prettier in November.

It’s hard to overstate just how gorgeous Forza Motorsport 7 is. From the moment you jump into your first race, you’ll be in awe of the sheer beauty of everything the game does. Wet tracks glisten as the sun kisses the tarmac, rain lashes against the windscreen, changing its trajectory depending on your speed and if your car is turning. Even your opponents’ Drivatar names reflect on your car’s bonnet. The level of detail across every track and car is staggering.

Anyway, I might need to eat some crow on my 70-75 metacritic. It might be nearer 80.
