Lego City Undercover is now showing in the Coming Soon section of the EU Switch eShop.

It's €59.99.

Same price as Amazon De but oddly it's not £49.99 on Amazon UK, they're doing it for £39.99. That's nice, I guess.

(Also it's £44.99 for the Xbox One and PS4 versions, making the Switch version the cheapest in a weird twist)

Well they know what they can do for that price, quite frankly.

Pretty good deals. I got Gunman Clive 1, Toki Tori 3D and Weapon Shop de Omase on the 3DS. If Gunman Clive is good, the sequel will be bought too.

I'm hesitating about Picross 7, never played any of the Picross games. The only demo I can find is Picross 3D....does that demo give a good impression of 7?

Completely different games. But you can download My Nintendo Zelda Picross or Pokemon Picross for free. The latter has micro transactions but shows off the gameplay really well.

Nope, not at all. Very different games.

Try an online nonogram puzzle site if you want to see what the general puzzles are like, though the videogames have much more polish of course.

Edit: Or yes, Zelda Picross! That's a good idea.

Here's a weird thing: looks like quite a few games now have € = £ prices now.

The Legend of Dark Witch is one, and I'm 100% sure it didn't before.

Stealth brexit tax?

Edit: more examples.

[3DS] The Legend of Dark Witch - Chronicle 2D ACT (CIRCLE Ent.): €2.99 / £2.99 (normally €3.99 / £3.99)
[3DS] TOUCH BATTLE TANK - TAG COMBAT - (CIRCLE Ent.): €2.99 / £2.99 (normally €3.99 / £3.99)
[3DS] Witch & Hero (CIRCLE Ent.): €2.99 / £2.99 (normally €3.99 / £3.99)
[3DS] Witch & Hero 2 (CIRCLE Ent.): €2.99/ £2.39 (normally €3.99 / £3.19)

As you can see, Witch & Hero 2 doesn't have it, so doesn't seem like a publisher-wide thing. I am confused, ha ha.

Guys, I highly reccomend you to buy Crimson Shroud... because it's really amazing.

I know it's a very controversial opinion but I'll say it: for me it's the best RPG on 3DS.

Anyone else noticing that buy links seem to have disappeared from a lot of games on Nintendo's site in NA? I was looking at a couple of games to try to find out the sale price, and there's nothing there, and it seems like a bunch of games are missing them now (although my ad blocker could be going haywire, I guess).

Try another browser to confirm. My chrome doesn't even list down any games on sale.

Wonder when Pocket Rumble is going to hit, its says March 2017 but its still early access on Steam for PC, thinking it may not be arriving soon /wonders.

Edit: actually after further investigation, it appears the PC version is almost complete anyways :D

Has to be next week if they are going to make the march projection. Going by tweets made by the dev team, it sounds like they were just finishing up some art and animations and it'd be good to go.

Might even actually be in lot check with Nintendo now.

Downloaded the Human Resource Machine and it's really fun.
Like programming basics, nice math and logic solving.

I downloaded New Frontier Days. It's...really competent.

That sounds like the very definition of damning with faint praise. Is it actually any good? A game like this could be great on Switch, but it could also just be like any one of those thousands of mobile colony builders.

I mean, it's almost exactly that with no F2P nonsense. I've had a lot of fun with it, but it is certainly lacking in the presentation department.

I'll be really bummed if that's it for Wii U virtual console. There's still a few titles I've been hoping to see, especially from the Turbografx side of things. Also can't believe New Super Mario Bros Wii has never made an appearance.

I downloaded New Frontier Days. It's...really competent. I haven't turned it off in five or six hours.
Does it progress only while playing or uses real time clock like f2p/mobile/browser games that "continue" when you arent there?

edit: For 10$ they should have put a bit more effort on the graphics, thought it's not the most important aspect in that kind of games.

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
Think I might bite and but Steamworld Heist on sale on the Wii U.

I'm sorta hesitant cause it's the Wii U though which I'm kinda over. Plus it's got PS+/GWG freebie written all over it.

I'll probably cop anyways. I have like 8 bucks just sitting in my account already.

None of that. It progresses through 'ages' as you upgrade your main building, which lets you make new buildings. Time is broken in to years. You cook, manufacture, sell, harvest, hunt, build, etc through the year. End of the year is marked by a harvest festival where you pay taxes on your buildings and food. In every new age, there's been some sort of cataclysm. (I just defended from a giant bear and giant sheep that attacked my city.)

There's some other stuff thrown in too. The game sets development goals where you complete certain tasks to get invention cards, which can be both passive and active--they do stuff like upgrade your guns or activated to receive 150 food.

I probably put 5 or 6 hours in yesterday, enough to be a couple chapters away from beating story mode. It's fun to play, I just feel that it will be pretty forgettable due to how lacking the presentation is. If they ever put it on sale for 50% off or something, it's worth a shot.

Never really bothered looking into getting a Neo Geo as I have no interest in fighting games, but had heard over the years that Turf Masters was a great golf game. After playing a couple of rounds I can see where the reputation came from, it's accessible while challenging and the presentation is top notch. Particularly like the voice samples and the music, this is going to be my go-to game if I fancy a quick round of golf for a long time to come.

Can't decide between SnakePass and Has-Been Heroes next week. I know I shouldn't get both though.

If you're in Europe or Australia is easy, Has Been Heroes has delayed one week in those territories
(and it's 5 euros more expensive)
.

Ran into the $200 limit issue on Switch eShop that I never knew about till now. Grrr! I had $70 worth of eShop cards to add to the eShop and couldn't. Hopefully, the $50 card # I entered still works. I am paranoid about that kind of stuff.

I will be getting it down soon enough though especially in April. I will be getting Puyo Puyo Tetris, Mario Kart, and Wonder Boy: The Dragons Trap.

What other games are coming out between now and end of April that have been announced?

Has-Been Heroes and Snake Pass next week. LEGO Undercover on April 4. And two more games that escape my head that are waiting on Nintendo certification.

Thanks for the heads up. By the end of April I will have at least spent $110+ on digital eShop purchases.

Despite the $200 eShop limit I am having so much fun going all digital on the Switch.

IGN just reviewed Has-Been Heroes and gave it 6.1/10. I guarantee Snake Pass is a better quality game.

Edit: and 4.5/10 on Destructoid. Game is not going to review well.

Not saying that it is good but the IGN review seemed to dock it cause it is hard and the tutorial isn't fleshed out. The latter part is bad but hard game isn't bad. I guess another example of reading reading reviews. Though I am leaning towards skipping it this week.

An example of reading reviews (links to youtube review) lol just found that funny, I know ign's video reviews are literally the reviewer reading an essay.
IGN criticized a lot more than the difficulty. 1.They said the maps were disappointing and the game looked like a mobile game rather than being impressive looking like the developers other games, 2.The controls are awkward and unintuitive even after hours of play. 3.Game is dull due to poor enemy variety, opening hours see you fighting waves of samey skeletons. 4.The game doesn't explain what the items that drop do.

So he's not saying it's hard so it's bad, he's saying it's hard and then you start over and have a boring slog for 2 hours with bad controls and unexplained item drops and game systems you have to figure out yourself. Then start again and slog again. I'm just imagining if I had to play 2 hours of Binding of Isaac with only the same enemy over and over every time I started over.
