When I was studying abroad in Paris, I went to the Eiffel Tower and Britney Spears pulled up in a black limosene and walked right past me.

On the same study abroad trip, I saw Mick Jagger at the Musee Rodin with some ugly biatch I hope wasn't his wife.

When I was a kid, I went into a game store to buy Mortal Kombat III and I saw Shaq there.

Really, I never MET any of them, but I SAW them and that's good enough for me. Haha :lol

I saw Keanu Reeves once in South Beach. It was at night, and I gave him this look of, "Are you...?" and he nodded like, "Yeah, I know, right?" I gave him a thumbs up, and he smiled and gave me one back. It was kind of surreal since I was freakishly high at the time.

Co-creator of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon, shops at my store every week. I got him to sign a game for me.

Outside of stuff like E3 I doubt the guy gets recognized much. I am a big nerd.

it's true though.

I also met Chuck Norris when I was younger. I went to see the movie Sidekicks at some random theater, and he was there signing autographs.. I still have it up on my wall.

I don't really think these count:

1. I lived in the same neighborhood as Faith Hill...15 years ago I think? She was just starting to become a famous country singer, and she made major upgrades to her house, added a pool before moving. She left candy in a jar on her front porch during Halloween with instructions to take just one, of course there were none left. Said hello to her a couple of times.

2. Even longer ago, around 1992-3 I got Jodie Sweden's signature. She pretty much looked just like she did on TV. She was the middle child in Full House. I remember thinking she was cute at the time (I was 8 so no pedo bear approval).

3. Thought I drove past Lance Armstrong in west Austin's hill country. Really hilly area and it was very hot outside, and there was a very fit guy going fast on a bike with a bunch of logos all over it. He lives around there, but I'm not sure it was him.

Met Mr. Belding (saved by the bell) at Pure night club in Vegas before. I guess they were having a school days theme, and had a bunch of chicks dressed in school girl uniforms and him as a guest? Anyways my buddy got bottle service and we ended up sitting right below him. Chatted with him, dude got fat though... My cousin won a grammy! does that count?

Andy Dick, if he counts. Saw him at Atlantic City in Caesars rolling with 10 hot chicks. Some random guy and I looked at each other in disbelief (about the hot women with Dick) after they passed and he says, "I guess we know who has all the coke".

I met David Cross, Sarah Silverman, Janeane Garofalo, and Sean Lennon (who pulled up in a limo) at this one dance punk club in New York City circa 2002. Funny enough was that Jesse from that Do You Want to be a VJ was outside with a friend recording stuff on a camcorder and I laughed at his sadness.

Oddly enough, I have seen Janeane Garofalo like 3 times in my life and my sister actually did a CMJ panel with her one year and I wasn't there.

I met Amy Poehler when she was first starting SNL at a live Upright Citizens Brigade. I didn't really know who she was actually.

I crashed a frat party with the Black Lips many years ago when they were opening for the Black Lips. We got trashed and when we went outside to smoke, they locked us out.

I hung out with Andrew Bird after a show and when I asked him about a Squirrel Nut Zippers reunion, I thought he was going to cry. Poor dude I suppose.

I'm a family friend of Manny Pacquiao and have known him personally since I was 13 years old. He always buys fight tickets for my family every fight, and I try to make it to his fights when I have the opportunity.

I've met a few thanks to working at a hotel..

took a room service order from hulk hogan, he ordered a club sandwich and I called him thunderlips and he said "whoa whoa there brother" :lol

escorted Payton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Tony Dungee, Reggie Wayne and a couple of other colts to and from conference rooms(3 colts linemen always order 3 vanilla and 2 chocolate shakes before a game for good luck, too bad they lost against the CHARGERS!!

Heather Locklear was always drunk at the bar while some show of hers was being taped here, she would talk to strangers until they would buy her drinks haha

I checked in Antonio Cromartie, Shawne Merriman+ a bunch of ho's to the hotel and hooked em up in exchange for autographs(Cromartie's baby mama doesn't tip!!)

Met Quintin Tarantino when he came to watch some super underground womens wrestling match

I checked in Tera Patrick, I didn't know she was a pornstar until someone told me though..

I dunno if this counts but I met Kevin Pereira(celebrity?) from g4tv when I was on a show called Arena a while back. He was actually a pretty cool guy always making fun of g4's shitty budget :lol

I also delivered a letter to Al Sharpton, he was totally scared when I knocked at his door, he was wearing his pj's and his hair looked like a birds nest haha

I'm sure theres others that I'm forgetting but I'll add them later

Also met Gretzky, Bobby Hull, and a few dozen other Hockey players when I use to play. Too bad I couldn't keep at it. I was easily good enough to play in College if I kept at that or Baseball.

I worked on films in the Virginia/DC area for 7 years. I met and worked with plenty of people. My most memorable were probably Spielberg, Tom Cruise, Colin Farrel, Terence Malick, And the cast of The West Wing, but I met or at least watched tons of them.

Minnie Miñoso at a funeral.

I was like 8, and my dad told me to ask for his autograph. Even at the time, I kinda felt that was a weird thing to do at a funeral.

I've met with Augusto Pinochet and then-president George W. Bush. As far as non-politicians , Matthew Lesko himself gave me 20 USD once just for holding the elevator for him, and I had the displeasure of meeting Natalie Portman at a Bar Mitzvah. That's about it though, as far as ones on the top of my head go.

I was a few feet away from George W. Bush when he was speaking near me in 2005. I guess that counts.

Met dozens at various cons, but are we counting all of those?

Having lived in both Toronto and Manhattan, I've been fortunate enough to run into a bunch both at various events and just at random on the street.

By far, the most memorable though wasn't in either city, but in LA at E3 2004 on the show floor. Back to back, within 5 minutes of each other, I met Joss Whedon and Hironobu Sakaguchi.

Joss was watching me play the FFXII demo over my shoulder. When I noticed him there, I had to drop what I was playing and just go over and shake the man's hand and offer my condolences for Angel's cancellation. :lol (that week was right around the time the last couple of episodes were airing). It was uncanny -- my idol, watching me play a video game for who knows how long behind me and I didn't even know it. I had to say hi and, sweaty palms at-the-ready, ask to shake his hand. Won't forget it, lol.

This was at the Sony booth, so it was pretty packed, and someone had taken over my XII controller. So I started walking over to the other big display at Sony, the MGS3 jungle area, and bam, there's the Gooch with who I assume was an assistant or translator, and he was pointing and laughing at the giant Big Boss + crocodile hat standee. :lol I think I stammered "Sakaguchi-san?" and he turned to me and smiled, and I extended my hand without saying anything, just bowing my head :lol I think I then said "wow" and "thank you" a couple of times, because I wasn't sure he'd understand anything else.

My Cousin won the first So You Think You Can Dance (Australia), that's sorta a celebrity. One that no one ever actually cared about.

Hopefully no family read that

I've been talking on and off (online) for weeks now with Dennis Lowe, Simon Deering, and Jon Sorensen. They actually found us. Dennis released a personal project of his documenting his work on the movie Alien and we were unknowingly killing his bandwidth by watching it! :)

It's still on going, I wished them a happy new year.

I met Bea Arthur, and I was wearing this t-shirt.

Betty White pointed at it and said "Bea, look at his shirt!"

Bea Arthur leans in and squints and reads:

"Bea Arthur has a ... pussy?"

That moment pretty much completed my life.

Really cool. My friend always goes on about Pacquiao even though I haven't watched a boxing match for longer than 10 minutes in my life. :lol Of course he's filipino, and he always goes on and on about him.

anyways, my mom once saw tom cruise if that counts

I met Will Smith about a year ago and went to the premiere of Seven Pounds. While I enjoyed meeting the guy and was pleasantly surprised by how down to Earth he was, I really didn't enjoy Seven Pounds at all. Pretty sure I blacked out on some of it, to be honest.

- Terry Gilliam was a roommate of my father's in college, met him a few times.
- Lunch with Tom Cruise due to being one of the best friends of UofO President's kid
- For the same reason, I met Phil Knight in my night shirt and athletic shorts
- Ken Kesey when I was about 6 lived down the road from my father's property. It confused me.
- Tons of athletes, and was actually on a first name basis/friend with Aaron Brooks
Others include: Dennis Dixon, Dan Fouts, Luke Jackson, Joey Harrington and others all with lovely stories. Kellen Clemens also bought some wrestling game from when I worked at EB.
Also, tons of track athletes from Mike Powell to Carl Lewis to Michael Johnson and John Smith due Eugene being Track Town USA and one of my closest friends housing numerous of these athletes (Kenny Moore too).
- Bunch of bands too

Oh shit and Kevin Sorbo and Phil LaMarr at Comic Con 09.

My bike is sort of a celebrity. I drag race ATVs as one of my hobbies, and I post all the races and tests on youtube. As a result I can barely test, or go riding anywhere at the major dunes in the western US without people coming up to me because they recognize the bike.

Doesn't count I know but I really can't go anywhere now without other riders noticing. I get a kick out of it though.

When he was with the Browns, I saw Vinny Testaverde at Tower City in downtown Cleveland. He had a chick on each arm and was wearing a big fur coat. My mom, who's a big sports fan, saw him and blurted out "Vinny!" and he hurried away.

My dad went to high school with Tom Cousineau (and took driving lessons from his father), a #1 overall pick in the NFL draft.

I once had a chance to maybe get a hug from Taylor Swift, but I wussed out.

I met Eric Idle after one of his shows last time he was on tour.

I also went to the same beach club as Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi so I saw them fairly regularly hanging out on the beach during the summer if they weren't on tour.

Bruce also rented DVDs from the small video/toy store I worked at. He came in with his kids every now and then. My favorite memory was him renting this terrible straight-to-DVD action movie called "Banditas" on the basis that it had both Selma Hayek AND Penelope Cruz.

He is also way shorter than you probably imagine him to be.

Tony Kukoch (or however his last name is spelled), and Harold Remis come into my work (Starbucks) nearly every day, ornat least Tony does. They're both nice guys, but Tony doesn't say much unless you talk to him about golf. Harold is a really awesome guy and usually will stick around for a short chat if we aren't busy. Last time he came in, my manager and I had a conversation with him about Family Guy and how the show is pretty awful, but has some great moments (at which point we all started quoting the funniest moments we could think of). A couple of other lesser celebs come into my work, too, but they're not really worth mentioning. Also, Tony is fucking HUGE and wears the baggiest pants i've seen on a guy, but that's just because he's so damn tall that all he can wear is big&tall pants.

I've also met Jonsi and Kjarri from Sigur Ros. Jonsi hit me on me a whole bunch (he's gay, I'm not and I was with my girlfriend, so he tried extra hard, it was hilarious) and drank some vodka with him (Stoli).

Other bands = Múm and Sin Fang Bous. Bassist from Múm is an old family friend, but we hadn't seen each other for over 15 years until this past November when they played a gig and y girlfriend and I went and talked with them after the gig at a bar around the corner. One of the best nights of my life.

I used to go to the Baltimore Ravens' training camp and watch them practice. I met a bunch of people up there - Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Jonathon Ogden, and some other players.

A residence I was in hosted a function where many Canadian political highbrows were expected.

One gets into the elevator that a friend of mine and I are already in, taking our laundry back upstairs.

This one happened to be Preston Manning.

My friend looks at him, back down, pauses, then back up again at him.

Just before the doors open to the banquet floor, she asks, "So Preston, how's the Refoooooorm party doing?" :D
