I don't do this often but the spoilers in OP and my play time with each of the demos are enough to make me reconsider my preorder... FFXIV is fantastic story-wise and is, IMO, a finely functioning MMO that lives up to the series legacy, but I truly can't take another big FF heartbreak after the XIII generation.

Plus it's all about execution. Any plot can sound really bad if simplified (especially a FF one) and not a lot of context.

I do like this guy's information compared to the last one. He does make the game sound alot of fun, even if the final battle has one heck of a plot twist. It's probably all BS of course but hey, it's fun to read.

Yea at this point I don't mind reading them since it'll be a surprised as to if any are true or not. The only stuff I hope is true is the summons and the amount they have shown to us which according to that leaker is not much.

While its certainly possible there are now many people who have played through big sections of the game due to bug testing and quality control, its difficult to take anything seriously as any fan keeping up with XV could easily predict what these leaks are claiming.

Knights of the Round is definitely in, they appear in Kingsglaive. This was known before these spoilers hit, though, and proves nothing.

I'm a lot more enthusiastic now given these latest 4chan leaks over the initial batch.

Immediate takeaway to reaffirm their authenticity is to expect a 5 1/2 minute trailer at Gamescom (in a little over 2 weeks) along with the new demo that culminates in a

__Leviathan__

fight.
Plus, a launch trailer at TGS in mid-September.

the info of there being 3 major towns with 2 of them being Altissia and Tenebrea, then it's not that bad cause apparently they're not including smaller towns like Lestallum.

Oh you're talking about the ones in the OP. Those are considered fake I think, but some other person came out today on 4chan leaking new info. This person could be a fake as well tho.

I do find it weird that we have seen so very little console footage though. But i guess they can do that from now until release.

Those are assumptions that wouldn't prove anything, Tabata already talked about showing that fight prior to the game releases, and a new trailer both at GS and TGS are likely.

Let's hope that is true. But that's the problem with 4chan, you never know if it's serious or all BS. I just hope we get an interesting game world with plenty of towns and cities to visit. I mean how long have they worked on this game? It wouldn't be a bad idea if they start the marketing with some Rockstar-esque videos where they show a bit of the game world and places to visit.

For people late to the thread, the OP ended up being down to a weird user who had like 12 different accounts between 4chan and Gamefaqs, and had endless arguments between his sockpuppets, basically shitting up every FFXV thread for years with fake theories. People found he'd been doing this for years beforehand with FFXIII too and made all sorts of R34 porn of FF characters.

He was a really weird person who was also behind the Kingsglaive spoilers, a bunch of stuff he said was contradicted by stuff that had already been announced/shown, didn't make any sense on its own, or was contradicted later.

But there's clearly a possibility of leakers, since I imagine the game is probably in heavy QA right now, maybe at more than 1 studio. It wouldn't take much from a tester to just head over to 4Chan as anonymous and spill out some juicy infos, isn't not?

Yes, but not to the degree this person in the op spilled the beans, implying a much higher knowledge about the game development than a tester would have. And this was like back in May too. It's mostly conjecture and bulshit imo.

I doubt anyone has a full copy two months ahead of schedule. Beginning of September is more likely to be when the final copy goes gold. They don't press the discs two months ahead.

To be honest, if there are indeed several areas that are mostly empty or only have baddies to fight with, it wouldn't surprise me. Episode Duscae already had that. Hell...most games like that have that. Witcher 3 for example has plenty of open fields with nothing to really see and do, part of the game world. It's all good as long as there is plenty to explore in terms of a city/cities and towns and little villages and such.
