April is the cruelest month.

I think the Kings could make some noise in the playoffs, assuming they don't get Vancouver in the 1st round. St. Louis would also be troublesome, and I really don't want to face Elliot and Halak every game in a 7 game series.

Since it's either the LOL #3 seed, or dropping all the way to 7th or 8th, we'd better win the division. Chicago in the 1st round doesn't really scare me at this point. We went 3-1 against them this season.

I don't know if it made any news in Canada today but former Sens and Habs player Andreas Dackell gave up on his career today. Playing with constant pains and not contributing was his reasons.

I remember hearing other great nhl players talking about how, whenever they faced i him on the PP they were always so afraid of playing D to D because he was supposedly the best player in the world to pick the puck down in the middle of the air.

Another anecdote I remember was that some canadian newspapers wrote that they thought that Alyssa Milano wore his number in his honour during the national anthem, years after he left.

So when the playoffs start I basically "cheer" for Boston and Detroit. Only because family and friends who I am close with are diehard fans for both teams.

But yeah Lindros was something special, too bad that his career ended too early. Didn't he have some kind of World Championship pointrecord just until two or three years ago?

And he already plays 25 minutes a game, why the fuck do you want to waste him on the PK and tire him out when you have 4 capable dman of doing it. I think the Jack Adams nominee coach knows what hes doing with him and the team.

Mini-rant time: they need another defenseman trophy. The Norris is supposedly for "best defenseman", but it's really not. It's the inverse Selke - best offensive defenseman. Fucking MIKE GREEN was a Norris nominee, lolololololol. There needs to be an award for actual defensive play for guys like Josh Gorges, who don't put up many points but block shots, shut guys down, etc.

Forwards have awards for best offensive and defensive play. So should defense.

Ummm there was like 40 seconds left in the game with a 4 on 3 in OT, so you should probably have your "norris nominee" on the ice, but what do I know, I'm not a Jack Adams nominee.
