You can scan an area of the map and it lets you know if any enemy heroes are there, with 3.5 minute cooldown

Yup, works like fortify, everyone on team sees the scan and the cooldown is shared
You can see icons for it in the lower left. Bottom is fort, middle is scan and top is rosh. Top is not visible to you in game when playing
Annd I assume it doesn't break smoke/invis...
