Yes, it is. You're talking about the rarely seen "Sky Terran". It's rarely seen because it's highly situational, requires map ownership, constant harassment and a large amount of multitasking. Without all of those, it's shit.

Basically, don't try it yet.

Additionally, the build you described working on earlier with Barracks --> Factory --> 2 Starports is called the 2 Port Banshee and it's an all-in or a cheese build. If you attack and fail, you're fucked.

I would just point out that the thread title makes a ridiculous assumption. Members lose to former diamond players all the time. I won't name names of course

Speaking of auto-aiming... I think the perfect nerf to marines would be to let the terran have to manually aim their shots. Like, every individual marine needs to be aimed in first person mode.

edit: might as well nerf the range to 3 while you're at it.

edit 2: you know what, the marine range will be 1 in HotS anyway because of the stupid Viper.
