I can't make a final list yet since I still need to see The Third Murder, A Taxi Driver, The Tooth and the Nail, Detroit, Atomic Blonde, Mudbound, The Shape of Water, Phantom Thread and Mary and the Witch's Flower but at the moment:

i really liked Detroit
Dunkirk, Get Out, and War for the Planet of the Apes are the only films from those two lists ive seen. didnt care for any of them

Lack of Blade Runner 2049 is frankly baffling given some of the mediocre fare on those lists. NYT being NYT I guess.
