If they will use CGI for their trailer it will be first time when they don't show how actual game looks with first trailer. So stop spreading bullshit how they always release CGI to show how their games looks because it is clearly bs.

Whoah man. You said "never", I said "yes they have". I never said "always" and I certainly never said anything remotely close to the bolded. I'm well aware they also use in game trailers. Chill pill?

Oh great, Channing Tatum is now going to be in video games as well. ;)

someone should post fight night 3 images. was there ever a 4? that's probably the console benchmark for HEAD/focus games.

fight-night-round4-1.jpg

this gen consoles.

people expecting that sort of quality faces in games in a few years are setting up for dissapointment when ur going shit framerate with just that on the screen then imagine that in a real game world with more than one npc with that high quality, yeah its not gonna happen

What.. really? I don't think its THAT great, It's not far fetched at all. I mean, in some games, we aren't even that far off.

Yes it is. Quote me on that when next-gen arrives if you want. ;)

screw eyes and faces, This game better have something like Alice Madness Return's hair (Geralt hair in The Witcher 2 was really bad).

I just hope they don't confuse trailer with a teaser. Give me a good few minutes of story and gameplay, but leave out the action. Show me a world that really feels worth exploring.

Probably gonna be a CG trailer to show the premise, the world, your character, enemies and a few things your character will be able to do.

It's only been in development for a short while. There's almost no chance of getting something like that now.

Yes, please make this a trailer, not a teaser.

I hate teasers. Please stop making them

You're getting a CGI teaser, if you're lucky it'll be at least good to look at, like the Deus Ex one.

Yay. Another teaser :(

Were witcher teasers in engine? Should be like, in engine cyberpunk city scapes, and a bit of story. Would make me satisfied. Just want a small story tingz.

This is awesome but only something you can get on PCs right now. Consoles aren't strong enough for this.

That being said, I'd like it if he didn't have such patchy facial hair

I expect something to establish the mood, maybe introduce a character or two. Still a long way from release.

Yep, teasers and first trailers were in-engine if I remember correctly. They released CGI stuff afterwards and for the outsourced port of the first game (that was never finished, I assume the trailer wasn't done by the CD Projekt team either).

Wrong. RotWW was an adaptation, not a port. It looked completely different than TW1 and it was first teased with a CGI. The fact it was cancelled means nothing.

It was the same game just with proper controls and upped few effects quality. They released 3 screenshots which looked the same as PC version. They also used "adaptation" for their X360 port.

I responded to CDPR using CGI to show how their game will look or what they show first time. You said they use CGI (which meant that they use CGI to show their game first time) and it is complete false.

CDPR did not ever do thing like From Software did with DS2 first trailer.
If they will show CGI then it will be their first time when they show first trailer being CGI.

Also they do not have a cash to create CGI just for trailers. And i doubt they have intro CGI a 2 years before release.

What we will probably be looking on will be rendered with better IQ ingame cinematics as they usualy do.

Why not? Just hand the dirty work to someone like Blur studio.
A good CGI trailer can have long legs and they don't have to worry about preparing ahead of time etc, just give out directions.
And eventually they can use it as an intro to the game, again, just some minimal foresight is needed.

Wrong again. It was built on DaVinci Engine instead of Aurora and was outsourced to some French company.

Here's an early gameplay:

The budget for both Cyberpunk 2077 and "unanounced RPG in dark fantasy world" is bigger than that for TW2, and they already have an engine. GOG is growing rapidly, generating nice revenue for CDPR, they have 20million credit line and Polish government will have to pay them compensation for what they did to Optimus. They have enough money to pay for CGI trailer.

"early gameplay" look down: target render

they only released 3 screenshots how it would look and it looked the same sans few effects more. Also TW1 isn't aurora. It's heavy changed aurora with completely different renderer.

We don't know anything about budgets of both Cyberpunk and TW3. And their AAA is not AAA like western devs. Also do not confuse CDproject with CDPR. CDPR is dev studio and CDP is publisher (they own CDPR) and they have other things to do with money like whole central europe distribution channel and few other things beside that.

If they would have money they would create CGI intro for witcher 2 before premiere not a year after.

Different renderer doesn't change the engine - which is Aurora.

Wrong again. CDPR is a dev studio and the publicly listed company. CDP.pl (formerly CD Projekt) is its subsidiary. It WAS a parent company, but the whole group was reorganized, and CDPR became the leading company in the group. CD Projekt sold all of their Central European subsidiaries and only work in the Polish market (CDP.pl) and Global (GOG, CDPR).

Source

And to make things more confusing, CD Projekt Red has bought the "CD Projekt" trademark from cdp.pl, and was renamed to CD Projekt in November 2012.

worst case scenario for the teaser/trailer.

-Teaser start with black screen
-Cyborg chick winks
-Fade to a white screen
-EA logo appear
-the Copyright line at the bottom of screen read as "Cyberpunk 2077 © 2013 Electronic Arts Inc."

and after 1 min an EA press release " Electronic Arts Acquires CD Projekt RED,Bioware will help on Cyberpunk 2077"

If MS/Sony were smart they would buy CD Projekt.

That would be a huge factor for rpg people to buy their console.

So Call of Duty 4 engine is idtech3 ? Good to know.

Good to know you ommited that part when CDPR payed a lot of money to former CDProject 19mln zł which is almost as TW2 budget. In any case this indicate they have even less money than earlier. And Optimus deal was for parent company not CDPR.
