Blaster Master Zero now coming to Switch, will be a launch title in Japan.

Sure would be cool if we got it at launch in the US as well, though it seems the 3DS version was stated for "Spring".

If I had to guess, we'll find out about BM Zero's status for the Switch on Tuesday.

Also, has anyone claimed the March thread?

Will just downloads like that be likely to crash a server? I think they're avoiding preloads for now due to the data mining of the EU preload. I hope the servers are ready for Wii U and Switch downloads of BOTW.

I just hope I don't need to DL day one firmware to play the games. I'm sure it will be annoying but at least it is a Friday and some people will be at work.

:( Sorry, but I think you will probably need the day one firmware update to access the eShop. I'm 99% sure I read that in the previews. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

We have any idea of the eShop exclusive launch titles in the US? I saw the Japan one & it looked rather decent, even if half of them are Neo Geo ports.

I think so far it's:
-Fast RMX
-Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove (and Specter of Torment)
-Snipperclips
-I am Setsuna

World of Goo, Human Resource Machine, and Little Inferno are apparently cutting it close and may miss launch, though they were originally targeted there. I suppose we'll know after the Nindies Showcase.

I'll probably give the Snipperclips demo a try, I just don't know who I'd play it with. Though if we get that bundle of the joy cons + the game, might be worth getting.

Kind of wouldn't mind some of those Neo Geo ports, even if most are already available on PSN.

Me. I have prepared something new with the little time that I have.

Right now, I have this for Switch.

It'll have the known retail/physical releases for sure.

The NeoGeo games aren't technically Virtual Console. They're considered "Arcade Archives", which are also available on PS4 & X1. They're most likely just the ports of those versions that're already on the other consoles.

Wonder if Sega will provide support for VC again, either with Genesis games again or their stuff that was on Nintendo's consoles (seriously, how is it Japan has all 3 Sonic Advance games on VC, but not the US?), though I guess I won't get my hopes up.

TheMoon

Why? Archives collection is a emulated-based collection of old games similar to VC, even if they're on other consoles or PC.

To me, VC is its own, very specific thing. That's also why I kept kicking up dust every time NOA called Wii downloads VC games. When I think VC I think about specific features, price, issues, platforms, publishers. Just being multiplatform is enough for me to not see these Hamster collection games in the same category.

In any case, we don't have this problem right now, because there isn't VC.
By the way, in a 4Gamer article, Hamster has said that there will be new games weekly.

I mean, looking at how much even stuff like 3rd party platforms on Wii U VC could differ (see Turbografix-16) , not counting these emulated (they are emulated, right?) arcade games with VC is a bit weird.

I mean, it's not like Wii DL games on the Wii U eShop which weren't emulated at all.

Holy crap, is every 3D Sega Classic on sale at the moment in EU?

Also....huh, no word on Switch stuff launching on the eShop, or will that be its own separate thing since it's on a Friday?

Mpl90

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
So, I suppose Switch is going to get a specific PR tomorrow, right after the Showcase.

I hope there's a similar sale in North America and it includes Atlus stuff, because I got my physical collection (-1 in the system) jacked this past weekend and I need to replace 7th Dragon and SMTIVA.

Edit: Well, one out of two ain't bad. Atlus sale on until March 13 and SMTIVA is in it.

lol, I'm sure she does. Please someone find a pic of that theme.

Zeldaaaaaaa weeeeek!

And do we have any volunteers for the new thread? If it's just about being on time and updating stuff, I can try my luck, but maybe Switch release month might require someone with more talent and actual experience to provide the March thread?

Darn, Blaster Master Zero isn't at launch, but at least it's hitting Switch & 3DS on March 9th.
