I just completed FFXV and while the game itself left me with mixed feelings, the OST has some really standout epic tracks. I wanted to start a topic where people can share their favourite epic tracks from games. Epic music and pretentious praise to follow:

Ultima Weapon's theme from FFXIV is a belter.

Really gets going at 1:19. A good fight but these days you don't get to experience all the chaos in full because everyone is massively overgeared and the fight ends in 30 seconds.

Yeah, one of my absolute favourites. FFVIII was my favourite FF game as well.

Easy_D: Nothing beats Final Confrontation, when the Hero theme kicks in around 5:30...just incredible.

Haven't played the game but Drakengard 3 has an impressive soundtrack, love the use of horns in this track in particular. Dunno what it's called. The percussion is standard Okabe but the brass give it a great sense of urgency. I'm sure it would have been twice as epic in-game to hear it for the first time

On the note of Nier: Automata, the E3 boss theme has been my favourite slice of epic music to come. The vocalist puts in work and if the second-stage of the fight continues to develop the track it's gonna be a standout piece for sure.

Space Channel 5 - Last Boss
Spoiler (duh):

the sound system fails, so you can't compete in the dance off with the villain. So the people you've rescued start singing for you. It starts with a few but they become more and more. They eventually sing along the moves you dance - so far you've only heard Ulala, in the end it's this huge choir singing/dancing in unison.

It's really epic. Such a simple idea, yet perfectly executed.

The Trails series has plenty of great picks, especially the later games. As someone said earlier, Phantasmal Blaze is fantastic.

65daysofstatic's OST for No Man's Sky was gorgeous.
