*Sigh*... drafted my standard league thinking it was my ppr one, and didn't catch it until round 5...

Any RB sleepers worth a flyer on besides Carson?

14 team standard (QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, 2 Flex, K, D)

QB: Dak Prescott
RB: Dalvin Cook, Terrance West, James White, C.J. Prosise, Matt Forte, Chris Carson
WR: Odell Beckham, Davante Adams, Jamison Crowder, DeVante Parker, Josh Doctson, John Ross
TE: Travis Kelce
DEF: Jags (likely streaming)

Just got done with our 14 Team PPR League:

QBs: Aaron Rodgers, Tyrod Taylor
RBs: LeSean McCoy, Dalvin Cook, Bilaal Powell, CJ Anderson
WRs: Doug Baldwin, Terrelle Pryor, Devante Parker, Kendall Wright, Kenny Golladay, Philip Dorsett
TE: Hunter Henry, Tyler Eifert
D/ST: Ravens

10-team standard scoring league.

QB: A. Luck
WR: J. Nelson, M. Bryant, K. Allen, D. Thomas, D. Hopkins, B. Marshall
RB: D. Freeman, I. Crowell, K. Hunt, D. McFadden, D. Henry, T. Coleman
TE: J. Reed
K: W. Lutz
Def: Baltimore

I'm legitimately worried about my QB situation, as I'm left to pick from Bradford, Tyrod, Flacco, and a bunch of garbage QB free agents to fill in for him. I'd love to trade off some of my WRs but everyone is always so afraid to accept any trade offers for some reason.

Finished my $$$ 12-team 0.5 PPR draft today.. think it went OK, kind of spaced the 2nd half though. 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 FLEX/K/DST

Picked 12th out of 12.

QB: Jameis Winston
WR: Mike Evans, Michael Crabtree, DeVante Parker, Cooper Kupp
RB: DeMarco Murray, Kareem Hunt, Doug Martin, Danny Woodhead, Darren McFadden
TE: Jimmy Graham, Coby Fleener
K: Matt Prater
DEF: Buffalo (Streaming vs Jets WK1)

Spaced on WR but felt it was super thin with 12 teams and starting 3. Hope to pick up some good waiver wire guys once the season gets going.

10 Team PPR, 4 WR with 3LB IDP

QB: Wilson and Matt Ryan
RB: AJayi, Crowell, T. West, D. Henry, Duke Johnson
WR: Nelson, M. Thomas ( 11th Rd. Keeper), K. Allen, D. Thomas, D. Parker, J. Brown
TE: Eifert
DST: Seattle

Thought I did great with the exception of QBs, Got Wilson in the 7th but I was'nt going to let anybody get Ryan for cheap in the 10th, Im just petty I guess.

I've made a terrible mistake. Lol

That's my thoughts on my 14 team league.

Mariotta
Mixon
Duke johnson
Michael thomas
Brandin cooks
Jimmy graham
Davante parker
Nick folk (I drafted novak, but some one told me he got cut)
Falcons Def

Bench
J stew
Cooper kupp
Kendal Wright
Jeremy hill
Joe flacco
Deandre Washington

I didn't draft a rb with one of my first two picks, ( I was pick 14 in a 14 team draft) and mixon was the best rb on the board...

So my rb crew relies on a woman beating rb who might split carries with two other guys!

Fuck it.

Honestly it's not a horrible draft. You have Mixon and Hill, so you will struggle early but eventually can just pick one per week. Stewart is probably your RB2 over Duke. Wright is a fine slot receiver and Washington is immediately expendable. Just pickup whatever you want on waivers.

16-Team, 0.5 PPR, 0.04 PPRY Snake Draft... drafting out of the #3 slot... we start two RBs, two WRs and a flex W/T each week. Here's what I wound up with...

QB: Brees, Kizer (lottery ticket QB for Drew's early Week 5 bye)
RB: Cook, Mixon, White, Latavius Murray (to handcuff Cook)
WR: Antonio Brown, Landry, Rishard Matthews, Shepard, Travis Benjamin
TE: Ebron (blech)
D/ST: Jaguars (blech)
PK: Boswell

Could be worse. Could be better. Not bad for minimal prep. Probably depends on how those rookie RBs shape up.

What's PPRY? Is it referencing point per carry? Something else?

12 Team with an extra WR spot

QB Russell Wilson
RB Ty Montgomery
RB Mark Ingram
WR Odell Beckham Jr
WR T.Y. Hilton
WR Tyreek Hill
TE Rob Gronkowski
FLEX Jonathan Stewart

Bench Kenny Britt
Bench Zay Jones
Bench Ted Ginn Jr.
Bench Samaje Perine
Bench Devin Funchess
Bench Cole Beasley

The rookie upside crop of RBs were all going high where the upside isn't much. Ended up with boring but should be solid contributor RBs.
But with the WRs + TE I got I am fine with that.

Corey Davis is the more talented receiver, having been a 1st rd pick to Kupp's 3rd rd. He has been hampered during the preseason by an injury, but his ceiling should be much higher with Mariotta throwing to him.

Alright, so I have a draft tomorrow in a keeper league with some friends. I finished dead last last year, so I have the first pick this year. I'm not keeping anyone from my team from last year, so I am in fact picking first.

Here's the players being kept, and are thus off the board.

David Johnson
Odell Beckham Jr
DeMarco Murray
Aaron Rodgers
Jordan Howard
Le'Veon Bell
Antonio Brown

So who should I pick first and who should I be looking to get 2nd.

Chiefs to use RB committee against Patriots? - ESPN.com

Rookie Kareem Hunt will start but otherwise one of the unknowns surrounding the Chiefs heading into Thursday night’s game against the Patriots is how they will divide the playing time at running back. The Chiefs are again at three backs after re-signing C.J. Spiller. But Spiller has never played for the Chiefs and Hunt has never played in the NFL at all. The known quantity among their backs is Charcandrick West, who led the Chiefs in rushing in 2015. Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy indicated all three backs would play. “These guys are all prepared. They’re all prepared to play. They all know they’re a big part of this game plan. That’s the exciting part. We have a team of guys that we’re not just loaded with one guy at one position. We have a group of guys that can all play well and we trust them at all positions.’’

Adam Teicher, ESPN Staff Writer

Chiefs OC Matt Nagy indicated the team may employ a committee backfield in Week 1 against the Patriots.

Coach Andy Reid previously called rookie Kareem Hunt the Chiefs' "feature back," but it's possible the coaching staff is having second thoughts after Hunt had some preseason slip-ups in pass protection. - Rotoworld

I think it's reasonable to expect a committee the first game until Hunt finds his feet.
I don't believe this will be a long-term scenario... Andy Reid prefers to lean on a feature back.

And Hunt owners should have already invested in West as a handcuff.
If they haven't and your opponent is fielding Hunt this week in a match-up, well... I don't think I need to explain what you should be doing right now.

I will if it's actually happening. I'm not convinced there's interest, though.
It's tough to keep people long-term invested in a league without something else on the line outside of bragging rights.
Dutch should have ponied up for a giant trophy of Gronk that the winner could have in their home.

I'd start Cooper over Watkins.

No clue how he'll do with the Rams in an actual game. I'd wait a couple weeks to see how that shakes out. At least you know Cooper will get some chances.

Don't read too much into treating projections like gospel for Week 1. If there's any week during the fantasy season to ride hunches when setting your lineup, it's this one.

That said, that's still no cause to bench your studs. Amari Cooper is a stud... fuck whatever the points estimates are saying.

Yeah, I think I'm going with the gut and letting Amari run. Now I've just got to fight the urge to move Gore into the starting lineup. I have a disease, and his name is Frank.

Did my 8 team draft with my high school buddies this weekend. First ever offline draft for me and had a blast. .5ppr. Full team below, need help on WR starts if OBJ isn't playing. One flex (RB/TE/WR)

QB: Cousins
RB: M. Gordon, D. Murray, I. Crowell, Mixon
WR: OBJ, D. Thomas, M. Crabtree, A. Jeffrey, D. Parker, Garcon
TE: Eifert
D: Pittsburgh
K: Crosby (GB)

Most of the decisions are easy. Will be starting three of the WRs between the two rosters spots and a flex. OBJ, Thomas, Crabtree if all are healthy, but Thomas and OBJ are both a bit iffy right now. If they're out, I think I go Jeffrey, Crabtree, and Parker? Or what do you guys think?

Ugh..I found myself in a shit situation with my QB position. I ended up gambling on Luck after my Targets ( Dak, Cousins, Carr ) were sniped.

I got Dalton a round or two after I got Luck but I think I'm screwed :/

In a draft were I got Bell 5th in the first, I may have found a way to still lose out :(

Martavis Bryant @ CLE
Davante Adams vs SEA
DeAndre Hopkins vs JAX

Darren McFadden vs NYG

Did my first ever Auction Draft and it went really weird to me. Was expecting a lot more people to spend early and go boom-or-bust, but had 3 different people hang onto over $100 way later than expected. After the Top 5 players, everyone was weirdly disinterested in the next 10-15 (prices were all $5-10 below average). Then we were in the $25 range and there was still all this cash out there. Has GAF been seeing a lot of people saving this year in auctions?

Got locked out from a lot of the depth players because of all that late-round cash, so ended up with one of those pray-no-one-gets-injured kind of rosters (aside from Luck).

QB - A. Luck, P. Rivers
RB - L. McCoy, M. Gordon, J. White, C. Prosise, J. Hill
WR - A. Green, D. Thomas, G. Tate, K. Britt, T. Ginn Jr., K. White
TE - A. Hooper
K - W. Lutz
DEF - Ravens

So I have Jaquiz Rodgers while doug martin is out, but I can't decide between starting him or Pierre Garcon in week 1. We do 1 RB 1 WR 2 Flex, I have Ty Hilton and Michael Thomas locked in. Melvin Gordon is my other RB

It's not PPR, so I have to with the the 2nd RB just for volume opportunities alone right?

Yeah I'd definitely say Rogers, especially since they rode him into the ground last year when he started. Plus Garcon's situation is full of red flags

That's a pretty common issue with auctions. You just have to mindful of how people spend money early to anticipate how the draft is going to go later. How big is your league?
