I guess that is why they edited out the part hinting at the Riddler between the theatrical release and retail that a friend of mine pointed out. He loaded up an old bootleg copy to show the scene, then the Blu Ray he bought to show that it was removed.

What is this I don't even...

Scarecrow please. For real this time, not like in TDK..

YES! I think Cillian Murphy is a great actor and if he got more screen time that would only help to make TDKR even more amazing!

I realise how ridiculous Poision Ivy seems, especially if in Nolan's batman, but I'd like to see it.
Quinn would probably fit in more.
Maybe Black Mask?

Any chances Hardy gets to keep his accent for this film? Some of these British actors tend to be a bit bland when they change accents.

Only a select few like DDL can really perform well with it.

A Batman villain... being some sort of dark mirror of Batman himself!!?!?!? Perish the thought. :lol

An exact copy of a hero, but just "evil" is always lazy, doubly so with Hush considering how recent his creation was. Most of the other examples of this trope are left overs from the silver/golden age.

Plus, at this point, who doesn't know who Batman is? Making a character whose principle threatening characteristic is that he knows the secret identity of Batman isn't very effective when everybody knows already.

Title is meh but any new news on the movie is awesome news. Besides I hated Batman Begins as a title but now its grown on me.

The title always fits the story directly so I am at least glad that its going to be centered around Batman/Bruce again. TDK left things off with him on the run as the villain. This will be redemption and hopefully a more Bruce centered movie. Riddler would have been awesome but I hope we get a movie that is not so much about the threat of some super awesome unstoppable villain but more about Bruce and his demons. Oh and of course tons of action still. I want to see a good fight. Like Batman kicking ass.

I don't think Poison Ivy's all that ridiculous (with changes, of course) given that the crazy-gas peddling Scarecrow passed muster.

I thought it was announced that Killer Croc is the bad guy in this film? Where has the Riddler come from? :\

The Dark Knight: iBatman

Its a interactive movie that you buy on apple store.

Or like

The Dark Knight: I am Batman!

How the hell could they throw Poison Ivy into this universe?

Maybe she strangles people with plants or something...lol no she doesn't belong here.

You know who would be awesome? That guy from Always Sunny. He's short and pudgy.

Charlie Day for Penguin THERE IT IS! my suggested title: "Batman 3 Featuring Charlie Day". i will see it many times.

Bane cameo:
Bruce is flipping through channels and stops randomly on Wrestling. Macho Man Randy Savage enters, announcer screams "here comes Baaaaaaaaaane!!!!". Macho Man says something like "I want the Batman" Bruce Wayne turns off the tv.

Fanboys piss themselves in rage.

You guys really think Nolan decides which characters to use by deciding he has to keep their most ridiculous in-comic powers? The same guy who made Ra's Al-Ghul and Scarecrow the headline villains in the first film?

i hate the fact the title has the dark knight in it again. it makes it seem as if the dark knight was the first movie in a series or something and this new one is the second movie.

The Dark Knight made over a billion dollars. Of course they'll use that name again.

I don't read the comics but what was so different about Scarecrow?

Avatar made three billion and yet Jimmy Cameron will call the sequel Pandora, like a boss.

Everyone got owned like wished. :lol Bububu the riddler this the riddler that fuck the riddler.

Celebrate by going back to your old Joker avatar! The Dark Knight demands it!

As for the title, it is what it is. I really don't care. The fact that Nolan is talking about this means that he's working on it. Celebrate, people!

PS. The Rise and Fall of the Third Title (history book buffs will understand)

Guarantee it will have Avatar in the title. It would be stupid not to. Just as it would be stupid not to have the Dark Knight in this title.

No 3D?
THANK GOD.

I'm fine with no Riddler. I wish we got more Mr. J but I'm sure they've come up with something satisfying.

The title's pretty solid.

Actually no... anyone who cannot realize that the movie was in fact a brilliant piece of Mann work needs to retire from criticizing those who apparently have no taste in movies whatsoever.

As for my opinion of this sequel...

Nolan knows what he's doing. Imax + no 3D = win for consumers and keeps the cannon of his trilogy pure.

I would love to see Quinn or Scarecrow mastermind something together, but who knows. Also wouldn't mind seeing Croc or Bane.

As always with these movies, haters gonna hate, haters also gonna eat bat.

Sometimes audiences are retarded, sometimes they're not given enough credit.

The latter is the case here. I think people were complaining about how the title "The Dark Knight" would confuse audiences since it would be stupid not to have the word Batman in it.

.....soooo

The Dark Knight Rises? sounds like an interracial porno. Anyway i hope they look into having multiple villains , not just one big one, at the end of the day Bats is up against the life of crime mentality ....that and no single villain will come close to joker.

How would you possibly make Poison Ivy realistic?

Ignore all the plants covering her body, mind-control phenoms and all that shit. Keep the sexy red hair.

Have her as a pharmaceutical researcher (at Wayne Industries?), tie her into some kind of fear gas production narrative with Scarecrow, and the flower from Batman Begins. Done.

MIAMI VICE IS FUCKING GARBAGE.

It's nothing but a bunch of pretty looking garbage and a testament to Michael Mann's massive ego.
Does it look good? Yep. Are the locations well scouted? Yep. Is the drug situation modern? Yep.

But that movie is an incomprehensible mess of self-righteous circle-jerkery, bad acting, and sweaty pigass Colin Farrell rubbing up against of some asian bitch that's respected in a subculture somewhere.
It does nothing to move the audience, emotionally engage them, or get them interested in the plot whatsoever.

Of course I fail to mention completely disrespecting the concept of the original show.

I'm not even going to open pandora's box on the silliness of taking a glamourous, colorful show with plenty of brevity in Seasons 1-2 to a hyper-serious, gritty cop drama in Seasons 3+ which was entirely Mann's decision.

I've seen every episode of the original series and Collateral is one of my favorite movies of all time fyi.
