Molly freaked out because she thought perfect was attainable her entire life and she's coming to the realization that what she was holding out for doesn't exist. She handled it poorly, but I get it being upset. Also, homeboy is in an open marriage. As long as Molly doesn't go 10/10 Molly and expect him to be more than a homie she fucks, it should be cool.

Funny how as soon as I saw your reply the actor that plays Dro discussed this in the BHL review I'm watching. He makes it sound like he really is, but he's not confirming. I'm still thinking he's lying.

Open marriage or not, Molly really should have stayed the hell away from Dro. She already got her ho phase out of the way unlike Issa and knows she is looking for something permanent. As far as Issa's thing goes, he did warn her, but good to know even accidentally it's not appreciated. But damn, she was mean about it. I'm super curious as to the behind the scenes for that shot. Shit, that's gonna be a gif soon if it's not already.

Right??? After the show during Wine Down with Jay Ellis she told him Daniel basically treated her like a hoe. How? He warned her and she didn't get out of the way in time. What else could he have done? Hold it in? Can someone please explain this to me because it's obviously going over my head.

Jumping in and out of here to say that I just started this show and finished ep 3 of Season 1 and am loving it. The comedy, commentary, and cinematography are all top notch and I'm kicking myself for not watching this show before. Lawrence and Issa's relationship feels so real and interesting, but I'm frustrated Molly keeps getting in her own way. Hoping things work out for the best.

I wonder if Lawrence is going to be in the third season and what exactly he'll do. I don't see any reason why he and Issa should get back together, and if he does decide to actually properly date someone else (as it seems he and his co-worker are going to do), there's not a great reason to have him on the show. Between this episode and last, he's not doing a whole lot, and unless he's going to be reincorporated back into the main cast, having him just keep on his own divorced arc next season suggests at least structurally that he and Issa are going to resume dating and those storylines will converge. I'm still hoping the school plot is revisited, although they're running out of time, unless Issa's going to confront the principal in the last five minutes of the season as a closing display of growth.
I thought the moment worked in the episode, in which Issa seems unable to reconcile being sexually assertive and also treating people decently, and I can see that cumshot being a moment in which she feels as objectified as the men she's been pursuing. This is mostly her own prerogative though, and I hope the show and its creators aren't actually expecting me to think Daniel misbehaved, other than his slightly dumb comments after the fact. This entire conflict seems like some heterosexual nonsense.
