I guess it's because I don't like samba.... and I definitely don't like Pelé.
So they choose all the bad cliches for me.... XD

Seriously, I do hope that in 2016 they don't focus too much on what Brazil is expected to show. We have a rich enough culture to make something that surprises everyone.

I understand not liking the whole carnaval culture, but samba is freaking awesome. The sound of a bateria sends chills down my spine every single time, and it never gets old.

Seriously. I hate caranval, and I love samba. The drums are incredible. People really don't know the feeling of listening to it live. Its amazing.

Some girl I knew mentioned NxZero to me. I was all, "Giirrrl, the only kind of music I know are Forro and Sertanejo."

Oh God, why must all Sertanejo be played by guys with the same name? It was so bad that at times we'd joke about being "A dupla de Elder e Elder."

The most well known brazilian movies out there are City of God and Elite Squad.

While they are awesome movies, there are some pretty worst cliches than bad music in those movies =P

The images are from Brotas ... but mentioning Rodeio makes me think you are from a place closer to Barretos ...

I'm asking because i'm from Campinas, the biggest small city from the São Paulo state and it is good to know that i'm not the only one from SP-Gaf that don't live in the capital =P


Also talking about São Paulo, GayGaf would love to remember that São Paulo capital have the biggest Gay parade of the world and also have an insane gay nightlife, being one of the most gay cities in the country, even if the south gets the "gay fame".

Born in Canada to Brazilian parents, 3/4s of the family are down there. Love it though, no place like (2nd) home! My written portuguese is getting a bit rusty though, need to work on that.

Not really. I just used Barretos as an example, since it's the largest event of that category. I'm from Limeira, not even 30 min from where you are :p

The capital is just overrated, living there for almost half decade made me conclude this. It's such a hell hole that it's just not worth it. There are some beautiful places to visit there, but I prefer the quietude of the countryside.

I basicaly only use Gaf for game news =3


..wich is kinda sad, since I know people who work at kotaku and uol jogos =x
I use then to know stuff about games like Mr Bree and Oniken ... and a little about Out There Somewhere, but I know the developers... so .. xD

But I used Outserspace as a news site for a LONG time in the begining of the PS2 era ... will never forget how they had "new pics from Gran Turismo 2" EVERY SINGLE DAY to the point that some friends joked that the site had "playable screenshots"
