That's what I heard, but I still have issues. Doesn't seem to happen to my other games, either. The patch was something like 1.2.4, right?

I'll take a picture if it happens again.

I was waiting for the game's stability issues to be sorted out before playing the game. This is concerning... I guess I'll wait for the next patch? It's not like I don't have other games to play, but this just keeps pushing itself to the back of the line.

Played through world three after a hiatus, feeling the need to finish it before Odyssey comes out. The boss of that world is fantastic, just brilliant Ubi.

I played through World 3 (and backtracked through for collectibles and Challenges) and I haven't had any problems with the new patch. And the super annoying one to two second freezing that used to be in the game is completely gone.

Ok so before I get back into this game and looking for the new challenges, I'm not sure if I have them or not. Under the dlc it only shows the weapons packs unlocked, but when I go to the eShop, I can't download anything because it says it's already purchased (I bought the season pass day 1). Is there something I'm missing?

I just don't want to sink an hour or 2 looking for secret challenges if I don't have them yet.

I have no idea how to get to these DLC challenges. I have visited the secret area in world 1 and 2 and found nothing there and I've checked that I have it purchased.

The DLC Challenges are underwhelming. Really, really easy and not very inspired.

I hope the story DLC tries something different.

Not using in-game tools, but if you decide to use a guide, cross-checking against which collectibles you've found should help to pin down which chests you're missing (and if you're not missing collectibles then you know that it's an orb-containing cheat).

I really dislike the challenges that force you to go to the various areas with more areas than people in your party so you have to trial and error where your enemies might bounce you to. Those are stupid.

No strategy just trial and error

Finally got around to finishing the story mode after about 15-20 hours.

Overall it was quite easy, but a few encounters had a good level of difficulty, especially 3-1. I really liked it, a great surprise of a game. The thread title is definitely accurate haha.

Yeah, thats my least favourite challenges in he whole game. Its even worse than the escort challenges but that at least will keep you thinking on your next step

I've been playing on and off for a while.

Since I don't think, I'll go around the whole overworld a second time, I try to get a perfect in every battle at least. The first longer 'Escort Toad' Mission was such a drag that I didn't play for a few weeks. You don't get to see what amount of Rounds you have to finish in for a perfect so I just try to get as efficient as possible in a match.
But since everyone is so mobile in this game (except Toad), I had to restart that fight so often since someone was knocked out... And I just hate the fact, that you can skip cutscenes but not the battle arena introduction. It just drags after a while.

The rest of the game is pretty fantastic, from the almost puzzle like approach to the fights (if you get Rabbit Mario, you should pretty much use him in the next fight, because otherwise you will run into problems) to the mobility. It's pretty much my jam.

I guess the biggest criticism that has to be mentioned (And I guess has been mentioned by pretty much everyone) is the fact that I have to go back through the overworld again and again if I want to solve each puzzle and do each fight. I realized for me that I will just wait until I got every overworld ability and then maybe make another run if I'm up for it.
Seeing that the DLC fights are also incorporated into the overworld just adds to that. Sadly that will pretty much mean that I'll be way overpowered when I'll go for the challanges...

I still look forward to trying the Coop someday. Hopefully that part is up to the rest of the game.

So what's the consensus on the DLC so far? Enjoyable?

Lawdjezus, Rabbid Yoshi is da best. However, I do wish his costume had those loose stick-on googly eyes... for that goofiness bonus. Not a bad fighter, either. I think I have my dream team now. Rabbid Mario is hard to pass up on, though. That suave smile when he leans on cover. The Ukulele. The tackle explosions. Hrngh.

The Endboss of the ghost world was great fun to fight. Once again, wish list time, it would have been even better with a Rabbid audience in ridiculous outfits, doing Rabbid things (e.g. talking on the phone, remember that cinema-themed minigame in one of the Wii games?). Not that it's really needed.

Am I missing something about Rabbid Yoshi? It doesn't feel like he does a lot of damage to me. Is there a way to play him? I've stuck to my rabbid peach + rabbid luigi combo for maximum healing potential.

Some months ago I made a thread suggesting a Remake of Mario RPG using the engine of Mario + Rabbids. Back in there I only saw screens and videos, but I never played the game.

Now I am playing the game (currently at world 3) and I can't stop to thinking that this game is like a Super Mario RPG in real time.

Not only Mario RPG, but the overall graphics remember a lot of the pre render graphics of the snes. The water in world 3 of thing game, for exemple, remember a lot the water in Donkey Kong Country 3.

It's really cool and impressive notice that now we can play the pre render graphics of that time, but now in real time and even with more details.

Yes, Mario + Rabbids is a beautiful game and I still want to see a Remake of Mario RPG or Donkey Kong Country in that engine.

Honestly I'd go ahead and jump in. I'm up to 4-7 and haven't had a chance to play since the new patch, but the only stability issues I've encountered are a couple of 1 or 2 second additional pauses in co-op. Certainly nothing game breaking or that has deterred me from playing. It's an excellent game, you're doing yourself a disservice not playing.

Finally had a friend over who I knew would love co-op. He did. Immediately went and bought the game. I felt a little bad though, I basically introduced him to the game with nearly maxed out characters. I asked how he liked it and he pointed out that I’d more or less ruined the skill tree for him since now he knew how all the characters would turn out. He still loves it though. He’s on world 3 after only 2 days.

Rabbid Yoshi is really good. His weapon is strong (max weapon deals something like 5-600 hit points if I remember right), he can do multiple leg sweeps, his range of motion is great, and his scream can push enemies into better angles for others to attack. I wish he had a drone weapon instead of the grenade but that would make him too strong.

I use Rabbid Peach and him every time. Some of the really difficult areas I'll swap Rabbid Luigi with Rabbid Peach. But Rabbid Yoshi goes with me always. I'm working through the dlc ultimate challenges and I have no problems. The only exception is one or 2 escort levels that I used Luigi for his 3x Steely Stare to protect toad.

I just started World Four.

I was really on a high on this game after World 2, but World 3 was really underwhelming. Basically I have Rabbid Luigi and Luigi and they're wrecking everything. The strategy really the same every time: rely on Rabbid Luigi to Vamp enemies and Mario and Luigi to use their overwatch abilities to wreck enemies. It's very routine and I know that I could switch up my party to put some freshness to battle, I haven't felt motivated. I did the World 2 challenges midway through World 3 and had no problem with any of them.

The art style is really good and the music is nice, but the story is pretty much non-existent, and there. There isn't much motivation for me in the game outside of the combat, which has dropped off after World 2, like I mentioned.

I REALLY enjoyed the game so far, but I don't feel too motivated to actually finish the game. I'll probably dabble on it after Mario Odyssey, but I feel like after Worlds 1-3, I've had my fill of the game.

In w4, it's challenges, and the post game ultimate challenges, the difficulty ramps up a good bit, and it was the first time I found myself having to respec skill orbs to help beat them.

And I definitely had to mix up the team a lot, much as I love Luigi, his low health became a problem, and Rabbid Luigi is great with the rockets and Vamp dash, but you will occasionally need the Peaches to heal, or Rabbid Mario to max damage.

IMO w4 and the final challenges are the best parts of the game, and hard as hell in some cases!

First, you only need one guy alive to pass a challenge, there's no perfect!

Stay away from blocks with black floor markings around them, it means fireballs are coming. Luigi prob doesn't have the health to last this one out, can't recall who I used but Rabbid Peach is prob essential for healing and drone for groups. Rabbid Mario with vamp hammer and bomb dash is also good for groups.

I recall using the corners early on as much as possible, but I was staying around the edge of the central square later on, to flank Calavera. Prioritize Bwahluigi when he comes up. Bezerkers will charge you if you hit them of course, so I used this to position them to make best use of Rabbid Mario's shotgun.

Regular mario has only one dash hit but don't forget he can do that then team jump for a (slightly more damaging) head stomp, which also lets him move a fair bit after too.

You could consider regular Peach for her team jump heal and protect team moves.

Respec skill orbs to de-prioritize non essential skills (like the money one, pipe exit, maybe even high ground isn't that important for this challenge).

Anyone else notice it gets a bit buggier the further in the game you get?

I hadn't really noticed any issues in the earlier worlds, but by World 4 I got a lot of issues with the camera hanging up in random areas of the environment during actions (so all I see is a character shadow and the rest of the screen is obscured by a solid color or texture) and I had a few times it would freeze for a couple seconds after a certain attack or ability.

Nothing to really ruin the game (especially since its turn based and reaction time isn't very important), but weird given how issue-free I found the first 3/4's to be.

Finally on the run up to the end now, really enjoyed my time so far overall.

I experienced a weird bug last night during the World 3 boss fight. When the battle was transitioning to the next phase, the camera locked onto part of the background, and though I still heard sounds and music, nothing I pressed would snap it out of it. After about a minute or so of trying things - pressing Home, reopening, etc. - it finally snapped out of it and the battle resumed.

I also had my first crash right when I was dealing the winning blow during a battle in World 3-7.

I wonder if it is genuinely that World 4 is buggy, or that the new recent patch messed some things up and I only got that once I was already far in.

the following three battles have been adjusted to offer an appropriate level of difficulty:

• World 3, Chapter 4, Battle 2

But still no video recording :(

It takes a bit of trial and error finding the best way to beat this guy yeah, took me a couple of retries.

The first one can be dashed to with the character with a lot of movement, keep the other characters behind the wall and ready to hit him when his shield is gone.

For the second, the top right you can have a character go into the pipe and dash it and move back into the pipe so you're not exposed up there. Alternatively you can stay up there and snipe and let R.Peach or Luigi lure and tank with their driller tanks.

I believe there was a bulb on the most lower left as well which is easy to get to without much risk as well. The hardest one is the one on stage that's usually covered by two big rabbits and behind the boss. You need someone with a lot health up there because he becomes a living target, get there by letting other characters throw you up there, either from below or from the platform where the first bulb was.
