Xenoblade 2 combat works on a duo system of drivers and blades. Drivers are those in control, and use the blade to get access to special skills called Arts. These arts are the keys to your success. There are regular arts which are auto attacks, and special arts, combos.

She is also known as the legendary sword Aegis for which Rex is devoted to protect it. Together with Pyra, he goes on a quest to find her long-lost home, Elysium. Due to the Aegis' duality, Rex can drive the other incarnation of the weapon, the Blade Mythra.
Rex has been designed by Masatsugu Saitō.
Prya- is the heroine of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. She is a Special Blade who grants tremendous fire-elemental power to her Driver named Rex. Pyra and Rex embark on a journey to search for her long-lost home, Elysium. It is said that she is immortal and has the ability to recover from injuries quickly. However, she will die if the core on her chest is destroyed or when Rex dies. She is one of the two forms of the Aegis, and Rex can switch between her and Mythra at any time.
