Other than the fact they are both FPS games they seem very different.
So additional content like a beta and dlc are reasons why you feel burned? What did you think about MOH or BF3? Seems like you are overly concerning yourself with the wrong aspect of these products.

After the disappointment that was BF3, I'm not excited much at all. I still play bad company 2 cuz that games just awesome

Bring back commander mode and other aspects that made BF2 unique and then we can talk. If this is just BF3 2 then my interest is really low even if it runs on next gen hardware.

Not only do we get priority queuing for servers but we also get a bunch of maps, weapons and vehicles at discounted prices for a game we love playing.

Digital deluxe edition, calm down.
I kinda wish they would just drop the campaign from Battlefield. It wasn't bad imo in 3, but I'd rather they put all their focus on assets into the mp to make it the best experience possible. Excited to play Warfighter too, glad to see their focus on the campaign has to deal with the behind the scenes segments to with the soldier's families and all.
Not a fan of this two year cycle though. I wouldn't be surprised to see Starbreeze work on Mirrors Edge 2, considering the movement in Syndicate kind of had that feel to it, with the short segments of fp platforming.

Agree with this reasoning. If you're going to buy Warfighter just for the BF4 beta, then you will feel burned whatever DICE does. Unless the beta can somehow give chocolate handjobs over the interwebs.
However, if you're buying it for the game and see the BF4 beta as a bonus, then it will be so worth it.
If you've seen Warfighter's MP footage, you can clearly see it doesn't look like BF3...at all. Aside from both being a military FPS, the color-palette and whatnot seems different.
I'm honestly curious to see how Warfighter's MP plays out since I liked the MP for MoH: Beards. Granted, there were a few nagging things in the game, but Combat Mission + Support Actions didn't feel like CoD.
Can't wait to see Support Actions that are more than merely clicking a walkie-talkie or aiming something using your binoculars of doom.
Why are you laughing at people for buying Premium? Its not like the DLC isn't coming out anymore.

BF3 Beta took for fucking ever to come on the PS3, then the guys who bought MOH LE got a 24 hour head start on public beta before everyone else joined in
Then BF3 release, I was expecting Specact Kit to mean those $1.99 x 4 skins/weapon skins from BFBC2, it was one blue fucking skin, that's all =/

Oh well at least BF4 will definitely be releasing somewhere in the end of 2013 or early 2014. Since the End Game expansion (final DLC for BF3) will only be released on March 2013.

Not surprised in the slightest. GAFers complain about EA's practices, but it's the gamers that enable them. It worked last time with the BF3 early beta, it worked with "Premium (800000 purchases in week 1, holy shit) and it will work again. Gamers are enabling EA and gamers will fork out 70 dollars for a game they only have a mild interest in for the BF4 beta.

I've never understood this crap. NEVER! Not with EA, or any other publisher. Seems like an utterly stupid idea to me. Pay money for something you would never buy normally just to get limited time on a "beta".
BF4 is probably not the typo, the Frostbite 2 logo not being on console copies has to be. Or I will not buy it.

I was pleasantly surprised by CoD when they decided to go to the future (surprised mostly because they were the last people I expected to do something different) and I was hoping DICE would make good on the 2143 easter egg in BF3.
I can't keep buying these games, I'm so sick of using an M16 already.

I love BF3 and everything (whilst it's not without its flaws) but they sure know how to dig themselves a massive hole. BF3 had terrible issues that took about 2 months for fixes for me (PC) and I hear PS3 isn't even fixed 100% yet. With big games like Planetside 2 and Dust 514 coming out soon which provide really large scale combat with in depth RPG elements I highly doubt the people who bought BF3 because they enjoyed 2 will purchase 4 - most veterans were let down by the lack of features such as commanders and a working comm rose.

Is this on console or something, cuz on PC i havent seen someone whine since the Dart got fixed.
What about BF3 was so bad that its put you off BF4 unless BF4 has something "special".
Call me curious cuz im still going strong in BF3 150+ hours.
P.S The client side hit detection thing will always get whined about, but the amount of whining has gone down to one mention every few weeks if im unlucky.
Things I want in BF4:
- Over 24 players on console, I don't care how you do it just do it
- Squads of 6
- No nerfing dlc guns (seriously I *just* got Premium and the Famas has 25 in the clip, 27 in the ACR, and 50 in the MG36 EVEN THOUGH IT CLEARLY HAS A BETA MAG WHICH HOLDS 100 BULLETZ what is this shit?)

Overall, for me personally, the fun aspect has decreased significantly.
I still play from time to time, but I'm not enjoying myself nearly as much as I did in let's say bc2 or kz2.
If they simply build upon bf3 and nothing more, I dont see this changing my opinion I'm afraid. And before the bf3 beta, the game was the one I was looking forward to most, thinking I would again put many hundred hours into it! Yet I'm only at 250 hours and don't even want to touch the game again.
I find the close quarters cqd more fun overall now which is something I certainly would never have expected.

EA have been pretty clear about the Battlefield and Medal of Honor games alternating every year. What I don't get is why they aren't doing Bad Company 3 instead. All they're going to do is eat into BF3 Premium sales by releasing BF4 next year.
I feel kinda bad for John Riccitiello. When he came back to EA he seemed to have a clear plan for how they'd get back to being a quality publisher (and hey, they still make exceptional games) but some stuff didn't pan out the right way so you get situations that feel very cash grabby.
Hopefully, if Peter Moore is actually taking over as CEO, he can turn the ship around. Peter has always come off as a very business person that understands quality product.

BF3 is great, just not on consoles. The lower player count kills it. The Bad Company maps just worked way better with lower player counts.
Player count is not the issue on consoles.

Isn't the last BF 3 map pack releasing in early 2013? Then by fall people bodies will be ready. In a world where a Diablo game was abandoned in under a month (even though it had help from the developer), I just don't think our attention spans are what they used to be.
Maybe the whole Diablo backlash is people's means of moving on without admitting they changed in how they consume content. It's the game, man.
