WHAT TO EXPECT:
  • A brand new story that opens on Election Night and follows characters in the aftermath.
  • Flashbacks and commentary on the psychology of cults and people who join them and the situations that compel them to do so.
  • Links and ties to Freak Show, more specifically Twisty The Clown somehow.
  • A strong opening, some solid characters and an ending that shits the bed, maybe.
WHAT NOT TO EXPECT:
  • Supernatural elements. This is the "most grounded season yet".
  • This to be the Murder House and Coven crossover season. That's coming later.
  • Jessica Lange to return. Despite constant rumours, she's at least out this season.

While there are some elements of AHS that link, most of the seasons are independent of each other!

Down for a new AHS season, as always. The last one strayed way too far into torture porn territory for my tastes. This one sounds a lot more appealing.

Also, I'll follow dream hunk Colton Haynes anywhere. I hope he's the kind of detective that gets naked a lot.

Ugh Lena Dunham, my roommates are gonna force me to watch this season so I hope it's good.

1 was pretty good, 2 was decent, 3 felt like a CW show but was still mind a entertaining, 4 was crap and I didn't finish it. Never saw 5 or 6.

Haven't paid any attention to the news for this season. Had no idea Colton Haynes was in this. The continued shunning of Hallie is a missed opportunity. Best character in Murder House, by far.

I predict that Sarah Paulson will
win the game of thrones.

Indeed, my favorable opinion of this season will most likely be directly proportional to the amount of Colton time.

Hopefully he does his best thinking and crime solving while taking long, hot showers. Maybe even bringing in one or more fellow detective hunks to consult.

Did finn witrock leave or are they slowly pushing him out? Dude was barely on screen last season.

Truer words, and all... lol.

Debating on watching the premiere and then waiting to catch this on Netflix in a year. On the one hand... Colton Haynes... on the other, no Queen Angela, Lily, or Kathy. Hmm...

I demand no fewer than four shower scenes per episode.

Yes, hot water promotes healthy blood flow you know. Good for the brain. Better for the audience.

Also, yes to the consulting. Two heads are better than one. Three better still. Showering with your fit colleagues promotes the healthiest blood flow of all, obviously. That's hunky detectiving 101.

You know what sets a superhunk like Colton apart from your regular everyday hunky detective? Attention to detail. Every witness, potential witness, and potential witness's hot friend interrogated, thoroughly. You've got to be in great shape to make it as a hunky detective. Got to have superior endurance for those long work days. It's a hard job, but so, so rewarding. Mmm.

Even though every season ends up having a terrible ending I always really enjoy watching this show. The only season I couldnt stand to finish was the freak show one.

I really liked last season the ending was meh but I liked everything else, so I'm excited for this. Since it's dealing with cults I'm expecting a lot of psychological horror this season.

I feel like no other season ever came close to Murder House, and arguably Asylum. Twisty was a great villain that was shoved away way too quickly in Freakshow.

Couldn't even make it through Hotel, and never gave Roanoke a real shot. If I hear different about this season, I'll give it a try.

No Jessica Lange, no Lady Gaga and no Kathy Bates? Well this season starting off on the wrong foot. At least Frances Conroy is there. Hope she has a bigger part this season.

lmao

I have a feeling this season will be trash, though. I'm really sick of hearing about the election and politics.

That was my favorite too. It was the only genuinely freaky/upsetting one for me. Asylum was pretty good too. I guess I liked them all but the first was the best.

Like each year, I'm hyped as fuck.

Kinda sad there's no supernatural element tho. First season it happens, right?

I'm glad sometimes they just need to concetrate on the theme. Asylum was spun as being in a mad house, but you also had a nun possessed by the devil, aliens, the angel of death, a serial killer, and a mad scientist.

Jessica is done with AHS for good, Gaga is on tour for the rest of the year and Kathy has a new Netflix show.

I know nothing about this series, but Evan Peters was humping a tv in the teaser so it's probably worth watching.

Hope last season hits Netflix soon. I've heard good things.
The last full season of AHS I watched was Asylum. Every once since I just kind of drop interest halfway through.

I didn"t even know there was a new AMERICANHORROR, but i love Cults 🤔

Last season was horrible, but i liked S5

It's amazing to me that they seem to be actually doing the real election and not stand-ins for Hilary or Trump.

That means we could be getting some super realistic violence.

This is gonna be the most divisive season I think.

I keep seeing pictures on the internet of clowns, so this will be having evil clowns again? I thought the clown in Freakshow was awesome and genuinely creepy too, damn. I still need to catch up with AHS though. I didn't finish Hotel yet and haven't even seen the one after it. That one worth it?

I haven't watched a season all the way through since Freak Show and haven't been impressed by a season since Asylum.

Yet here I am, ready to watch and give Cult a shot.
