Your door is in a perfect position to defend against someone breaking in, though, being right at the bottom of a flight of stairs. One swift kick as he gets to the top and he goes tumbling down.

As the guy's 2 or so steps before the top of the stairs it's not gonna be hard to kick him in the face...
I doubt this is over yet. Have to go to court tomorrow or next week. And as he was resisting he was threatening to come and rob me in a weeks time. We'll see what happens.
