The worst thing about the 1-3 hour queues on Valley of Titans during head start and launch for me were the random crashes and disconnects that caused me to suffer through those queues multiple times. Players were recommending something like this on the official forums and it looks like they listened!

Well, they are invulnerable to some things (e.g. Elin pantsu).

I've decided plants are harder to find for gathering than ore. I should really sell off some ore to fund plants for alchemy. Healing elixers and stam pots would be awesome right now.

I went back to starter island just for the back items.
Gathering nodes usually clump together. So there will be one area of the map with a ton of ore, one with a ton of essences, and one with a ton of plants.
Although by and large ore is more frequent than the other two.

Problem is that healing elixer III and beyond require the higher level plants. I think I'm like, 180+ in my gathering, but I'm not even sure where to GO for certain plants. Is there a good online database of "stuff"?
Also, have they fixed the daily achievements yet? I know there was that issue that you couldn't run old dailies after you out-leveled them...Are we still SOL on them?

Anyone suffering from the popup logout menu constantly coming up like every five minutes? I rage quit last night after 15 minute escort mission. Finished mission and a cut scene launched. Right before it did the logout but popped out and then logged me out as I watched the cut scene. log back in - mission failed. grrr!

okay, im not usre if its my connection(wirless) or the game, but is anybody getting infrequent pauses in-between during gameplay? lag basically. im attacking a mob, and then all of a sudden everything freezes for like 5 secs or so, then resumes, almost died at frey forest since everything aggross now.....it happens like everytime now. i ordered cables at monoprice to hook it up to my router physically, but i was just wondering.

Well, I'm never going to get far in this game. I can't settle on a character. I've played a Lancer and Berserker to 15, a Sorcerer to 11, and I'm halfway through the starting isle with a Slayer. A big part of it is that I have such limited playtime lately and I don't want to invest a ton of time into a class that I'm going to end up not liking. I was enjoying Lancer a bit, but it's doubtful that I'll spend much time playing with other people for at least the next several months, and I've heard that it's not a great solo class. Sorcerer didn't really click with me -- does that class get a little more mobile at a certain level?

Well, I'm never going to get far in this game.
Lancer does not do that great solo. An additional DPS (or even a second Lancer) makes a WORLD of difference.
I can't comment on the other classes, but I commend you for trying them all out. Word of warning though...Most classes really don't shine until 20+! So keep that in mind.

So I've heard! That makes it more difficult. I'd play each one past 20, but I don't want to get sick of the game before I leave the first few areas.
I understood their reason for that but it's really difficult to get a feel for the class when you get all the skills at once.

I had only a bit to play last night and I created an Aman lancer and got him to 15, uh-oh....I may be in love!

There are a few spells you can cast while moving, but most of them will stop you for a certain period of time. Generally, the stronger the spell the longer it takes to cast. You can always cancel mid-cast but the cool down kicks in anyway.
PvE damage is hysterical - nearly everything you use is an AoE, though they all behave differently so you'll need to know how the skills work to use them properly.
PvP is a lot harder, you Time Gyre to stop someone, sleep them with Mind Blast to set up a Fireblast. Beyond that you have to hope someone else is a long enough distraction so that you can blow things up. A lot of PvP skills don't come in until the late 50s/level 60.
There are a couple of traps, like an Archer, but they take so long to cast, are so blatantly obvious and have such a short duration that I can't see a use for them.
The rough real life equivalent is something like a MLRS.
Warriors are the most mobile melee class in the game (and I would say arguably the most mobile class in general). They get two dodges, a dash, they take a step between auto attacks (both in animation and actual distance, so you can "circle strafe" around a target as you attack), and many (most) of their skills involve movement forward, or in a direction of your choosing. Oh, and they get a teleport to the back of a target.
I would very much recommend a Warrior if you want an engaging class. And if you really want challenge, tank with it.

It happens, though I think of it as minor.
I saw an Elin whose head clipped through her hair as she moved from side to side, that's a more serious issue.
Is it possible to play Warrior as a DPS class and not a tank or a hybrid? If so, that's another one I'm going to have to test out.
Oh, and in regards to clipping, I've seen High Elf females' upper arms clip through their breasts, which seems like something they should have noticed.

Hmm, I went into the Mysterious Jungle instance, accidentally returned using the teleporter before I was done; went back; it asked if I wanted to reset the instance; I said yes, but there were still some enemies from the last time which I ended up killing (including the quest target). But now I don't have credit for killing the target and the instance didn't reset.
Try reseting all instances, and then go in with a friend. It should reset.
Not sure where to reset. Can't abandon a story mission; and it only asked me once if I wanted to reset when I returned the first time to the teleporter. Doesn't ask me anymore.
EDIT: Nevermind, found it! Go to Profile->Instances->Reset Instances

The expired subscription thing is a bigger deal than many people realize.. EME's billing system seems to be billing those people for their monthly subscriptions due to the error..
They need to get this fixed before it becomes a PR nightmare for them.

People in the official forum thread are now saying there's some system outage making it impossible to fix the subscription issue. Yowza, this looks... unpleasant.
