[HOAX] Rockstar doing motion capture work for GTA 6 now [HOAX]

DC would be great, you could have NoVA, SoMD and the Eastern Shore included in the map to have a nice variety of geography and styles of city/towns. Nat Harbor has the casino and Ferris Wheel for great visuals and im sure you could have a great gameplay segment along the Bay Bridge

How do you know...?
From the production notes that were going around back when I was still apart of the web team outreach for Rockstar. "Next GTA" started pre-production in 2012 (just as RDR2 went full production), and this was the outcome of the first few meetings when they were discussing locations and concepts.

There's also one other game in pre-production that would be a surprise for many of you for Rockstar to tackle, and I hope it's still being worked on and not shelved like various other games in 2011 or the cancelled SP DLC for GTAV.

Them's credentials. Fair play!

Not so interested in R* games anymore since the shift to the online worlds. Found GTA V single player lacking already so.... let's wait how RDR 2 turns out as well.

Awesome. Hoping for 2019 but 2020 is more realistic at the earliest. Probably more like 2021 since Red Dead is now 2018, and GTA V was 2013.

i'm fine with a long date!
last years have been SO rich of games, that i've still to touch gta5....
I need to change to a less time-consuming job to keep up with gaming..
and board gaming...
and training..
and clubbing..

nevertheless!
I honestly think that unless rockstar goes with the slave-carriage route, if they are just starting the motion capture, no way it's ready before Q3 2019 :)

I'm actually pretry surprised by this. I figured Red Dead was all hands on deck and that if GTAVI was in development it was at it's earliest stages.

This would imply they are at least making decent progress on it

I hope they have female characters in this one. In V, were the only ones the mother and daughter of Michael (who were terrible)?

These games have such an awful problem with women. Not even sure I want them to try because I have zero faith they could handle it well.

I love these games for the world building, gameplay, music, freedom, etc. But man, I wish so badly that Houser would let somebody else write the script. To me, it's the one thing holding these games back from being GOAT. There will always be an asterisk.

Rockstar has 2189 employeed registered on Likedin, of course they are not all developers, but its not shocking they can handle two projects at once in some capacity, specially since we are less than a year away from RDR2 beeing shipped

Rockstar "Studios" is a term used when three or more are working full time on a project, but a lot of them provide half staff. San Diego was such studio. There are many Rockstar projects that never got to see the light of day, in 2011 a lot of projects were shelved due to North needing a lot of people helping out finishing GTAV. As of 2012 here's what WAS being worked on...

- GTAV (Full Production nearing end)
- RDR2 (Full Production starting) [Project Remorse]
- Next GTA (Pre-Production)
- Unnanounced/unleaked game (Pre-Production)
-- GTAV DLC 1 (Alien War) [Small Team Production]
-- GTAV DLC 2 (Story based) [Small Team Pre-Production]
-- GTAV DLC 3 (Zombie Apocalypse) [Small Team Pre-Production]
--- GTAOnline CnC [Original set up of GTAOnline, scrapped]
--- GTAOnline Heists [Small Team Production]

in 2011 the following projects were shelved...

- Bully II
- aGENT
- Unannounced Game by Rockstar London
- Unannounced Game by Rockstar New England

It's been a while since I stepped down and left but I do know that GTAV's SP DLC was scrapped because of the surprise success of GTAOnline, some content has been taken from those planned SP DLC's and put into GTAO instead. Rumours going about they picked up Bully II again, I'm curious to see which version they'll go with. aGENT has been shelved a lot, poor thing. :p

GTA Online had Paige, who would be the closest thing to a playable-type GTA character I think. If they were going to model a female GTA character after a movie character, what might be some of the best choices? We see plenty of good female characters in action flicks, but in crime flicks they're very thin on the ground I think.

Most people buy it for the campaign still, I doubt this will happen.

I dont think thats true. If you look at GTAO's user count, you can see that most people bought it for online. I dont blame them, GTAV was so short and had nothing to do after you beat the campaign and side missions

From where? Anyway, interesting to at least have confirmation.

But the game sold millions on ps3/xbox 360 where the online part was even worse than on current gen. People dont really buy gta for online. They might be now, but I doubt most people bought it solely for GTA:O.

PCGamesN got in touch with the guy in question, he says this an ellaborate fake and that someone is ''trolling him really badly''

https://www.pcgamesn.com/gta-6-leak-fake

”That isn't my page, account or résumé. I don't even know that website. I worked on GTA 5 a long time ago and haven't done anything since. Sorry for the confusion. It seems I'm being trolled online really badly."

Idk man..GTA Online was just as large as it was now as it was on PS3 and Xbox360. If anything, the popularity died down a bit now.
They might have not bought it initially for GTAO, but eventually started playing it more than SP

If I squint my eyes I can already read posts saying dude certainly got a phone call from Rockstar and a friendly reminder he was not supposed to reveal that and now he's blaming it on the trolls

Would you rule it out?

So that's why R* hasn't been releasing games . They're scraping everything that isn't RD2 and GTA!

Two notes on this in particular:
- PCGamesN says the IMDb page doesn't line up with the resume but, um, compare them and they do -- IMDb, resume
- the resume has now been changed to GTA 5 and RDR1 -- if someone was just trolling us, that'd be an odd thing to do

Not that this matters ultimately. We all know GTA 6 is in development. ;)

yeah, all looks a bit weird.

And you are right, this doesnt really matter that much

Do we really expect the guy to go "Oh, yeah, I really did work on GTA VI!" after possibly realizing he's breaking his NDA?
Of course he's going to deny it. It doesn't prove nor disproves anything.

It's stupid to do not a Bully Sequel, really. Bully has earned some big fanbase
