Like when heard Warner was recruiting Peele for Akira... like no wanna see what else he's got in his head. No one is gonna turn down his next movie.

I would love to see Justin Lin on the Flash instead of wasting his talents on Space Jam 2. Man can turn some weak as hell scripts and poor dialogue into cinematic masterpieces (and let's be honest, the Flash script is probably gonna suck in its final form).

Lin and Wan both in the DCEU would be pretty funny just for the coincidence.

I honestly can't think of anything Bay would be a great match for though. I just want him to step it up after 5 Transformers movies and give us Bad Boys 3. The director he put in place bailed out, so he needs to do us a solid.

I think I've said it before that the Wachowskis would be fantastic for Batman Beyond and I stand by that. I don't care about DCEU "continuity" or anything, I want to see them go nuts visually, Speed Racer style, but hopefully actually make a good film unlike Jupiter Ascending. Lol. Cloud Atlas and Sense8 shows that they still have it.

Bay needs to do Bad Boys 3. The reason for his departure was the studio didn't want to wait until he was free after another Transformers. Well.. they had to wait anyways, so they might as well do right by the franchise and try to bring him back.

There are two ways to look at it. A director is giving his spin on the property, which is great, and unfortunately more and more happening less and less with these shared universes. The other is a director brought in to make the studio's idea for the property, which is kinda wack depending on the director.

i'm more excited for Space Jam 2 than any comic book movie coming up aside from Batman. the nostalgia factor is gonna be nuts. get some NBA legends and new players in there too whew. maybe a scene of Shaquille O Neal falling down and flattening one of the looney tunes characters.

Justin Lin needs to get on that shit right now.

No, I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with being excited for a director taking an interest in a property and wanting to do it. I think it's stupid to get over-excited and cheerlead baseless buzz about a director being courted for franchise projects when the director has already stated interest in doing other original ideas instead.

I'm lost on the second part. What's that in reference to? Peele? I'm not seeing a ton of that around.

You must have missed the Villeneuve hard-ons during the Batman circus. Replace "original ideas" with "Dune" I guess!

What is the problem? These are properties that people want to see done the best way possible. I don't know Villes desires and goal, but I do know I would love to see his take on Batman. In what way is that pathetic?

Really? Space Jam 2 is a waste of time. Certain things worked in the 90's that just won't be the same in today's game. This is one of them.

and there's no one on the level of Michael Jordan to generate excitement for this. Might as well just come up with another idea for a Looney Tunes movie since they'd have to carry this anyway with today's crop of NBA personalities.

It's just wishful thinking and what ifs. I can see the draw in imagining a favored director's take on a property. Not pathetic. And it doesn't happen often here honestly.

Charles Barkley can still go

lol

think of the Jordans and the ad campaign and soundtrack though man. Lebron is a better actor than Michael Jordan too.

I don't appreciate the rationalization that a talented up-and-comer playing ball is somehow curttailing their own creativity and input. Is not all art gone from blockbuster filmmaking in this cynical view of the whole system!? Sure, Rick Famuyiwa already showed how strong creative voices sometimes can't jam with the big studios, but then again the director is meant to be the most powerful voice on set so when the cogs actually get movie it's really something special. To me, it's not even some baseless ad populum desire -- what he was able to do visually on such a small budget makes me interested in what happens if you give him $100 million dollars.

Iwait, what? Really? Uhh

I hope Peele just does his own thing for awhile, but I absolutely would pay (actually pay!) to see his take on a DC character. Especially Flash.

He's already gonna get a much longer leash with his next movies though after the success of Get Out. And I get the feeling he doesn't want to do anything big until his works are out there. I respect that.

Gotta agree with Badass on Space Jam 2. I love the NBA and I have a bunch of favorite players, but I don't want to watch any one of them hamming it up on a green screen especially if it ends up being Lebron because it's getting harder and harder to watch that dude these days. Jordan was a once in a life time athlete. It seems like a bad idea to bring that back.

No doubt..totally agree. Dude sounds like he's on cloud nine since his movie came out and got the reception it did. Listening to him talk and him wanting to stick to what he wants sounds awesome to me, and I was only slightly a fan prior to Get Out. Wanting to give a voice to social issues under the horror genre is also great. Funny enough, was a subject I brought up to other GAFers just a couple of months before this movie was announced.

Obviously, it'd be dope to see what he could do with a Flash movie, or any other CB property. I, personally, would way rather see him stick to the path that he's on for the time being. Seems he has some ideas he's ready to explore, and I'm more than happy to take the trip..

Maybe Crime Syndicate? It would be awesome to see them work together again, but who knows if they'd be interested in a collaboration. Both guys have a good thing going for themselves.

Also, to clarify a bit, I don't think these directors shouldn't get big projects. But I don't think it should be their "reward" to fans for doing great, original properties.

Where do you want to see Wonder Woman go in a sequel? Is that something youve been thinking about?
Im excited for her to come to America and become the Wonder Woman we are all familiar with from having grown up around her as an American superhero. Id like to bring her a little farther along into the future and have a fun, exciting storyline that is its own thing. Wonder Woman 1 is so much about her becoming the person she is. I cant wait to spring forward with who she is and have another great standalone superhero film.

Sounds like it's already locked?

Was there any talk of doing Wonder Woman as an R-rated film?
I would never do that for this movie. I think its great for the movies that have done it; Deadpool helped to create a new tone in the superhero genre and it was groundbreaking. But in this case, I only ever would have gone in the other direction. I know what this movie could mean to little girls and I know that they are going to want to see it and so I want to protect them, so its a PG-13 movie. I went out of my way not to be graphic and protect those younger girls who are going to want to see the film. I was thoughtful of them all along.

Maybe, but that doesn't matter. LeBron isn't even close to being as popular as Jordan was. He just doesn't have that same "it" factor in terms of marketing, and a great chunk of NBA fans hate him.
