I only got healed once and didn't know why.

Also, I can now send the calling card to the 6th palace, but I will do Daily stuff now first and explore Mementos.

It's still pretty amazing how Ryuji and Ann are on the same wavelength most of the time. Ryuji leaves his room because of his roommate bringing a girl and Ann getting locked out because her roommate went to her boyfriend's room. Top banter.

I find it funny that the boss tries to kill you with a McDonalds burger but if you are hungry then you get healed instead. I never really got to see it for myself though because my party members would hit me and get rid of hunger asap due to that perk.

If there is one thing I hope for P6 it's that they go back to the P3 style (haven't played P1 or P2, sorry!) where party members actually develop over the course of the game rather than it all being front-loaded and then kind of being pushed away to the side in their S. Link/Confidant. The cast is still great but they end up feeling kind of static, though I do think this game does a better job of it than P4. I want a Junpei-esque character arc again that unfolds over the course of months rather than in like a single month with a bunch of backstory to flesh it out. There's a reason you can argue that he's the best modern persona character.

Secondary characters use so little SP with their skills they regain it with the adhesive the next turn.

Trumpeter is just a cool Persona with nice physical skills and he doesn't cost a lot of money to summon from the compendium.

Palace 6:
So the casino and every section were actually real good. It ending up being just about the right length outside of maybe the last portion of the darkness area. The Darkness was actually real good and nice use of the Thief Vision late game. Real tense. That Battle Arena boss was cake tho...Had a dude with Rpl Elec and Phys. Also, Futaba I guess was allowed in?

Probably one of the best themes too. Now on to the calling card!

I'm hovering just under the 50 hour mark and I feel like I've hit a brick wall. The fifth palace seemed fine at first, but then hit a sudden difficulty spike (I keep finding enemies that summon help, and basically just keep doing that until my SP/will to live is drained).

It doesn't help that after
palace 4 the summer holiday hits
and the game slows down to what feels like days and days of text, not to mention Morgana's
random funny five minutes
that makes no sense.

Does it pick up again? Or have I experienced the best of it?

Just finished the 3rd palace, and did it in the first days available. Feels good.

Now I have 16 full days to social link, raise stats and Mementos it up.

I am hoping to get through most of Fortune and Temperance during this time. Any other recommendations for maximizing my freedom?

Palace 5 is easily the worst part of the game. The story really goes into overdrive once you get past it though. I'd stick with it.

Yusuke is probably the most hilarious character in the entire series. Most of his scenes are comedy gold and his S.Link manages to be both entertaining and touching by the end.

75h later, the game is done !

It's a great game, but I prefer Persona 4 (the cast, the story, the music). However I'm not done yet, now starting new game +.

And it feels so good to start the First Palace with Mara

when they come back from the palace and think Ryuji is dead Ann is by far the most devastated. When he then "surprisingly" shows up instead of doing this stupid "comedy" scene they could have had a nice Ryuji x Ann moment. I mean instead of hitting him wouldn't it be more nice to hug him?

NPC line and
Yusuke
at the Church are probably my favorite funny moments in the game.

They're probably some of the funniest characters in the series too.

A fantastic experience. I'd probably start NG plus tomorrow. Contemplating whether to play it in Japanese or not.

Right now I just want to relax a bit after having this game consumed my life so much, hahah.

I feel like of bad about it, but she's my personal maid now. I've got her cleaning clothes and making coffee. Actually had her make me my eternal lockpick after getting a massage the night before and after entering a palace. Was great.
