Already released games getting patches:

Your favorite game not on the list? Don't worry, see below!

This is a list of games receiving Xbox One X specific updates/patches. Games without an Xbox One X update/patch, incl. 360 BC titles, will receive the following benefits:

  • Improved framerate stability
  • Games utilizing a dynamic resolution will hit their max resolution more often/all the time.
  • 16xAF texture filtering will be automatically applied.
  • Forced v-sync
  • VRR compatibility (if you have a compatible display)

Will attempt to keep this updated with sources and information as it comes in

Taking suggestions on formatting and information display!

Wait a minute, who said Assassin's Creed Origins was 60fps? On the Ubisoft and E3 Coliseum streams I saw they said 30fps. The AC Game Informer issue says the demo they played was running at 30fps too. I think you're wrong there.

Yeah, I am not too sure that it is. Need some confirmation.

Halo Wars 2, Gears 4 and FH3 were expected but I am bummed that older first party games like FH2 and Halo 5/MCC are getting nothing.

Even PS4 launch games Knack and Infamous SS got PS4 Pro patches...

The list is not complete. Launch is still 5 months away.

Great thread BK, would be good to see a split between games already out and upcoming games tho.

I need to see what I can look out for in sales ;)

Edit: also might be nice to see
- Multiplat games that have a pro patch that aren't listed
- Play Anywhere / Win 10 games that aren't listed
- Games that have been asked for XBO X version and declined to comment (Battlefield 2, Destiny 2)

...lacks reading comprehension.
Pretty underwhelming to be honest.

About what was expected after Pro support. Games are still built for Xbox One and PS4. They can pretend it should be easy to just port PC versions/settings to these consoles but at the end of the day Sony and probably Microsoft as well demand that games don't have worse performance than the standard versions. If you don't want to meticulously go through every scene twice on both platforms there is only one feasible approach: Don't offer special support, just run the same game with a more stable framerate.

Solid initial confirmations while missing some obvious candidates for receiving updates. The list of supported titles ought to be quite a bit longer by November, but I want to see some news on what X1X does for unpatched current and BC titles that struggle to hit their framerate caps.

Perhaps you could add Atmos support to the list as well? There is a minority on GAF to whom this is a BIG deal, it's the reason I'm getting a 1X anyway.

I think only Gears 4 has confirmed support so far though.

Have we heard anything about a "Boost" mode for this box?

The system natively supports "boost" mode, the way it has been designed. If a game struggled on the X1, it should be smooth with less/no tearing on X1X. If a game has dynamic resolutions, it should probably hit the top resolution all of the time with X1X while maintaining frame rate.

Surprised they're not putting a Dolby Atmos label on anything, I really hope that doesn't mean none of these announced games have Atmos.....

Is downsampling enabled automatically on X1X?
Like a lot of console before it. Downsampling happens automatically on a system level.
I don't know how Sony managed to fuck this up with the PS4 Pro.

The Xbox one X will automatically run all unpatched games, including 360 BC titles, in a "Boost" mode. This means:
  • Improved framerate stability
  • Games utilizing a dynamic resolution will hit their max resolution more often/all the time.
  • 16xAF texture filtering will be automatically applied.

Does anyone know if the following games are going to have Xbox One X enhancements:

South Park: The Fractured But Whole
Wolfenstein: The New Collossus
Call of Duty: WW II
Battlefront 2

Sure. Just not announced yet. Cod and BF are under Sony marketing. So you tend not to hear from it at E3.

My wish list is all the regularly updated platform games

Rainbow Six Seige & Overwatch are top of my most wanted list, especially if they can add the 4K texture pack for Seige from the pc

Also anyone want to make a list of Multiplatform games that have PS4 Pro patches so far but no announced Xbox One X enhancements?
I expected about this much third party support, but Microsofts own support is extremely disappointing. Basically if the game didn't come out in the last year they're not updating it. Even then Halo Wars Definitive Edition just came out but it's not getting a patch?!?

Cock Strain, Lifetime Warranty
Tekken 7, hmmmmmmmmmm

XB1 version has lowest input lag when compared against PS4 and PC

You realize that the X is 5 months out, right?
