Imma bump some Beastie Boys later tonight for sure. RIP MCA. Thank you and your band mates for your contributions to Hip Hop. In an industry where the word pioneers are overused, the Beastie Boys for damn sure earned the term.

The first time I saw the Beasties was when License to Ill had just come out and they played Fight For Your Right to Party on American Bandstand. Dick Clark did not know what the fuck was happening. I must have been around 10 or 11 years old. That was probably the first punk/metal I'd ever heard, it made one hell of an impression.

The Beasties are one of my favourite bands. This is very shitty news indeed. Was hoping that I would get to see them again after the release of the last album :(

Glad that I got to see them live a couple of times before he passed.

I loved me some Beastie Boys when I was younger. Sad to see him go. His flow was always my favorite of the 3.

Sad sad news. Saw them a few years back and utterly loved it. Been following them since the early days and this is certainly sad news for all those Beastie fans out there.
