Shivering Isles for PS3 still coming this year #1

I sent an email regarding the status on SI for PS3. This is their response from their PR people.

Quote:
Press2005 <press2007@bethsoft.com> to me
show details Jun 5 (16 hours ago)

It is still our intention to release Shivering Isles for PlayStation 3 this
year. However, we still have not released any information on that, or any of
the downloadable content, for PS3, when it will be available, how, and so
forth. We'll let folks know as soon as we have some info to share about any
of that.

Thanks for your interest, and thanks for playing Oblivion.

Obviously its PR talk but I figured that those who have the PS3 edition of Oblivion (like me) would like to know.

And plz dont come in with your "If you had a 360 you cold playing SI right now!!11! MS rules"

I wonder how many of Oblivion PS3 copies have been sold and if they really want to release SI now.

considering how well Oblivion sold in Europe, I am pretty sure that SI is coming for PS3.

I wonder if folks who said way back that the PS3 couldn't handle Oblivion expansions because of memory or some other made up reason will eat their words or simply start trolling about the next port.

That's probably a consideration, though Bethesda likely started the port right after Oblivion shipped and it is big enough that it will probably take some time. Getting that out right before the holidays would be cool. I wonder if they will do a seperate retail release; they couldn't on the 360 because of MS rules regarding add-on packs (according to Bethesda), but Sony's may be different.

At any rate - everyone should buy it when it comes out. It rawks.

If they want to maximize sales, they better finish it up soon before the fall PS3 lineup comes out. People will shift their focus to the new games then.
