Copying is pretty quick, and it's the top option in the settings menu. I am surprised there's not an 'SD channel' on DSi but it's easy to manage what's on your machine and what's not.
Even if they let you run from SD, there's no solution for how you have everything on the DSi Menu (just like the Wii menu) so I really don't think they are going to do anything beyond 'Save direct to SD' on either system. I haven't been able to fill my DSi memory yet but when I do I'm hopeful it permits save-direct-to-SD. I'll update. |

My DSi had 63 blocks left with 22 DSiWare titles (including all the Art Style Games, Mr Driller, Moving Memo, most of the 500 point apps, Brain Training, a Clock, Calculator and the Web Browser. The menu itself had about 8 spare spots left.
If that's a problem, cry more. |

Can't vouch for 3rd parties but they don't generally put the same effort into getting their sizes down. Of course, sane people use huge SD cards for the photos, music and memos. Man, I've downloaded so many memos. *hugs DSi* Looks at 3D Picross *hugs DSi more* Last edited by swerve : 03-21-2009 at 11:12 AM. |

VOOK, stop making excuses for it. It was a bad idea on the Wii, its a bad idea on the DSi. Games will get larger, and with no itunes equivalent, many people will leave all their downloads on the DSi. I'm sure its manageable now, but that isn't an excuse
How do you back up games BTW? Any USB connection, or can you redownload at will? |

I've got all my DSiWare games backed up on my computer from the SD. It's better then iTunes, you can't redownload on iTunes. It's not like the Wii where you can download a N64 game and a SNES game and it be full, I've gotten 22 different items and a ton of pictures from the Camera and I only not had to swap out Brain Training to the SD card to do an update on Aquirio. (btw my Wii has 30 free blocks and I hate it, but don't see it as a problem on the DSi because it takes no time at all to swap things around you know when you're DSi is full 2 years from now).
