Platforms:
PC, PS4, PS4P and XBO

Release date:

November 4th, 2016

Campaign:

  • After a surprise attack on the headquarters of UNSA, Lt. Nick Reyes must take the helm of the Retribution, one of Earth’s last remaining warships. In a time of unthinkable adversity, he must lead the remnants of coalition forces against the relentless Settlement Defense Front.
  • Side Missions:
During the campaign, you will have the chance to take part in optional side missions that will allow you to earn upgrades to enhance combat. These upgrades will persist throughout successive playthroughs and include:
Suit Upgrades: Faster weapon swap, faster reload, less flinch, faster health regeneration, enhanced focus, an Electro Knife for more powerful melee attacks, and more.
Jackal Upgrades: Enhance the multi-role Jackal fighter jet with new weapons, better thrusters, stronger armor, and even decorate your ride with new nose art.

Multiplayer:

  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer combines a fluid momentum based movement system, player focused map design, deep customization, and a brand new combat system to create an intense gameplay experience where every second counts.
  • Specialist Combat Rigs:
Combat Rigs (Rigs) are the ultimate combat systems. Each Rig is a cutting-edge, tactical combat suit worn by the player and is built for totally different styles of play. Designed as the cornerstone to a player’s loadout and play style, Rigs allow for a high level of power and customization through their selectable ‘Payload’ and ‘Trait.’ A Payload is either a high power weapon, or ability that opens up new strategic gameplay. Traits are persistent abilities which reinforce and complement each playstyle. Each Rig is outfitted with 3 distinct Payloads and 3 unique Traits to choose from before entering combat. Choosing a Rig provides strategic options for players, as Rigs provide a customized suite of tactical options for every engagement.

Zombies In Spaceland:
  • Zombies in Spaceland transports you back in time to a 1980s amusement park complete with wild attractions, an awesome arcade, and a funky, functioning rollercoaster. In this all-new zombies co-op experience, new gameplay bring brand-new team mechanics, the After Life Arcade, and Fate & Fortune Cards into the mix. And, of course, there's a rad 80s soundtrack. Fan-favorite features return, including hidden Easter eggs, awesome power ups, crazy perks, and radical weapons.

Jackal Assault VR Experience:
  • The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault VR Experience is a PlayStation VR mission that immerses you in the cockpit of a Jackal, the personal, multi-role fighter jet in the game. The Jackal Assault VR Experience will be available to all PS4 owners, not just for players who have purchased the game, as a free, added bonus on November 4.

T minus 90 minutes! It's rare I am hyped about a Call of Duty, but I am absolutely hyped for this one. And, for the first time ever, I'll be focusing exclusively on MP. I'm saving both IW and MW's Campaign until the PS4 Pro gets released.

Sucks the IGN campaign impressions are so negative, adding to the negative eurogamer impressions

Glad I got the steam version in case want to refund it

Makes sense

Got a message from GMG saying they are temporarily out of Legacy keys, but honestly, the whole site is acting wonky. Could just be that. Anyway, I am eagerly awaiting my copy.

Huh, interesting. For like a week GMG hasnt been able to display the 'games' section, you know the keys you own from the site. I got an email today though giving me the legacy key for my preorder. Really weird they claim they ran out of keys for preorders. Seems kind of unacceptable they cant even get their website showing people their owned games page working.

My impressions from the campaign so far. Note I've cleared 2/
10
side missions and 3/
7
main missions.

Story is the usual, shallow, dreck. Nothing too interesting so far.

BUT - characters seem pretty decent and performances are very good so far. Ethan is brilliant as your robot sidekick and has some funny lines. Kit Harrington's villain seems underdeveloped and under used.

Missions are LONG. The opening mission is short (around 10 mins) but the following two have been a good 30-40 mins each.

Between missions you get to walk around the ship in a fairly limited way, listen to audio logs, watch newsreel footage and mess around with weapon load-outs.

The game pulls the same trick used in games like The Last of Us where loading times are masked by slow walking sections and so the game actually feels seamless most of the time which is a nice touch.

Mission design is ok, I'm preferring it to BO3 but I really didn't enjoy that campaign. Basically you open a mission with a big impressive set piece. Then shoot a bunch of people in corridors. Then there's another set piece. Then more linear shooting. Then you board a fighter ship and shoot some other ships. Then you dock and it's mission over. That's been my experience so far at least.

Visuals are decent. Facial animation is top notch as usual with these games. Effects work is really good, as are things like lighting. Texture work is very hit and miss. Overall it looks nice and at times incredible when everything comes together.

Music is very understated most of the time but when it kicks in the soundtrack is actually pretty cool.

Weapons are hit and miss. The ones that feel 'right' feel so good, the ones that don't feel pretty lame. Like shooting toy guns.

Enemies have armour now. Constantly. Pretty much all enemies feel like bullet sponges and to me that isn't what i want from a COD experience. On veteran this game would be a pain in the ass.

Dog fighting in space is fun but gimmicky. It doesn't feel as exciting as it should IMO.

Side missions are a nice change of pace incorporating stealth and while lacking those big bombastic moments they actually still are presented to a high standard with cut scenes and full voice acting.

Too early to call this campaign yet, but it seems decent enough. Doubt it will dethrone Advanced Warfare's brilliant campaign though, but so far it's better than Ghosts and BLOPS 3.

Actually, that's exactly why I thought the site was acting wonky. Also, I didn't preorder; I just ordered about an hour ago. I think they were fresh out or something weird, as I had not seen any activity on twitter. I'm hoping they have something for me by morning or I may have to shop elsewhere...

Fffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I did Black Ops III on Veteran with all those bullet-sponge robots and it destroyed my soul

Not that interested in the multiplayer footage I've seen but the campaign footage has looked promising. Looking forward to reading the reviews soon.

Bought the Legacy edition on XB1 mainly for MW Remastered.

Yeah...IW is not my cup of tea, and I'm a long time COD fan. It's way worse than Ghosts or AW imo, nothing feels like it has weight and I'm continually quickscoped by jankily moving robot avatars even though I fire at them. Finally I believe I'm too old for it. I get the impression that a 7 year old who likes flying mechs are my enemies in multi. Sad but YISS for MWR.

Zombies seems great, actually, but wow do I hate the multi and campaign.

I hope it'll turn out to be good, but what I've seen hasn't amazed me. I like CoD, though.

I'm also curious as to how hard it'll be on veteran.

I'm just here for Mystic Mac. Can anyone immediately PM me spoilers about what happens to him? I doubt anyone can take that left hand shot of his. Even in superpowered exoskeletons.

I'm one of the rare people that thought the Beta was actually a good time so I'm excited enough. That said, this is probably going to be the least memorable Call of Duty. The hype around this one is... uh, not there.

Most people (myself included) care way more about MW:R and will be playing that more than anything else. Anyone else get the vibe that this one is just going to fade with time?

I'm literally treating this as a fun £20 campaign with a fresh zombies mode and MW as the £50 main release. And after playing that for several hours online today and enjoying the shit out of the campaign last month it has been 100% worth it.

...wut? So essentially they are telling everyone not to buy it from the windows store?

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
MP private matches have options to turn off double-jumping and wall-running. I'm willing to bet we'll see "boots on the ground" playlists eventually.

Can anyone who picks this up let me know if you can get XP from from bot matches in IW? Infinity Ward had squad mode in ghosts where you got XP for bot matches. Just curious if this has them too. Not squad modes necessarily but just a bot mode where you actually gain XP.

Can't believe they are tying MWR to what is seemingly the worst CoD game since Ghosts. Oh wait, no I'm not.
